Well Guys its been a few weeks since I started this commission project from Laharl to make Laharl ( who would have guessed )I got the ok to post them up on here so here is what i have so far.Just have the win pose, why start with the win pose?? Cause..F$#% logic.. lol no really cause I wanted to have him stand straight up and it was a good chance to get a simple animation out. What i have to say about him is most of His reference art and sprites all are done in isometric perspective so its been a challenge working him and his sprites and stuff but I am learning how to deal with him and he is looking pretty good so far. I plan on making all of his sheet by scratch with no bases ..just references and stuff so this really going to be interesting and the best laharl out there for sure! With that said i will let my partner go through his game play ideas and stuff! He will remain in this section until we get some pretty good coding progress! I hope you guys are looking forward to this!
:3 I hope everyone else is as happy with this decision as I am I will be doing my best on coding him. I have a few gameplay ideas to implement.
thanks ima need it I have alot to learn on coding this kind of thing but im willing to do it.current plans1. he will have some ex moves think ala pots/infinite2. all his main 4 skills from the disgaea franchise3. assists from flonne etna and prinnies4. possible cameo by midboss, asagi ect mainly during winposes5. skills based on basic Disgaea D2 sword skills6. sound clips from various games English dub only (not a fan of his japanese voice)7. very comboable
nah not mvc i really haven't thought fully about it I mean maybe some air combos but im not basing this on mvc or anything. so I guess a hybrid?
Yes I just wanted to get all of the things that were gonna be on the sprite in there first before the color separation.I think he should be good to do now. I will post up the separated version.
Wow This character is teaching me a lot of different things thats for sure. This character sheet is done without using any bases which is in the self a learning process for me but i have been doing much better this way. I just wanted to show how far this character has come in the past 2 months..The reasons for so many changes are 2 things.1. Laharl himself wants all of these sprites to be perfect so he doesnt mind slow animation progress in exchange for High quality sprites.2. I really want to make him love these sprites so I will always ask is there something he is unhappy with. Cause a unhappy consumer is somthing i dont want at all.So let me explain each stage of this process we are going through. (left to right)1. Was the very first sprite did of this character he said he wanted a cvs sized laharl and i did my best to give a Cvs face and everything like that it worked for me. But laharl didn't say cvs face in that cvs like sized so this one need a better face closer to the game and art out there.2.Ok Fixed the face and got ready for the animation3.This one is for his laughing animation made some progress as you can see at the top of the first page.4.Got started on his Fighting stance animation. From scratch and working it into his shape.5.progress was made needed to add his sword and scarf.6.Details added and went on the search for feedback. Laharl also agreed i should do so to check for inconstancy.7. Feedback accepted and added on for his improved stance with more details. After further feedback I was told that his boots didnt match his legs.8.After final feedback I made changed and fixed his legs and making the stance look more natural and Here we are!Next up Stance animation then on ward to the basics!Cheers!
You should try what Judas did for Rikimaru for the stance: think how smooth the stand animation would be...Only thing I want to say is: why did you use some dark colours for the right (artist's left) arm?
Could you link me to what you are talking about? The colors are the same on both hands. His gloves are black I don't want to have to many similar colors. also We are going Color separate this guy.

sorry if i`m come the wrong place,Can i ask something nonsense? Can i do original picture (sprite) without any tool (Ex,Tablet....ect)?Please show me the answers.
You're right in that this is the wrong place to post that, however, you don't need a drawing tablet to create sprites (though I imagine it'd make the process much easier). I think most people hand-draw their sprites in something like MS Paint or Photoshop and clean them up afterwards.
