I think Ruby Heart should be against Ingrid, because they aren't officially from DS and SF. Ruby Heart was an old rejected concept and Ingrid is more like a guest, since she debuted in a crossover as well, but the one they're paired up with fit quite well.

* For me, Akuma and Jedah has not rivalry on that.
* Donovan has fighting against the darkness in your soul once again (Dee). And in the Sub-Boss, Donovan cannot take control of him.
* Shin Akuma has been really a great Sub-Boss after confront Perfect Bison.
* I think that Felicia and R. Mika has been a funny rivalry ;)

Well, that's my definitive roster idea (i think... ;P)

It's very good, but it got very deformed, we included to much Non-Darkstalkers & Non-Street Fighter Characters, it's not that i'm protesting, it's just that it should be more balanced, it just got a bit bizarre, that's all.

Even so, it's not bad.

 Which ones are non DS and non SF?

Amingo and Ruby Heart were meant to be in DS4. And it's a popular theory that Son Son was as well since she fits the monster theme and has all the moves of a DS type character.

Ingrid was in SFA3 which is where she's coming into play in the SF side. Though without Teen Anita I feel she's kinda pointless.

Amingo and Ruby are rejected concepts who never appeared in Darkstalkers, and came to appear as originals in MvC2. The Sonson that appears in MvC2 is Sonson III, granddaughter of the protagonist of the original game Son Son.

Ingrid is an original character, originally meant for the cancelled Capcom Fighting All-Stars, then she appeared as a mid-boss in Capcom Fighting Evolution, and then as a guest for SFA3 MAX. She isn't canon in the SFA story.

Well, i'd like it to be more balanced, it's not bad thought, just take off the absurd out of it, and do a original secret character (independent from the sub-boss battles)

The "Big Foot" idea sounds incredible! :3

Isn't Sasquatch a bigfoot? How about an oni? You know, onis are quite popular and have some cool powers. Here are some monsters you could think about:

Speaking of a Gorgon, I remember seeing something like that for the Darkstalkers contest quite some time ago. It was a rather interesting design and somehow didn't win (instead a grave robber duder won IIRC). Sucks because I really liked her design...

I wouldn't mind seeing a dark elf or fallen angel~ Don't think a mermaid would really work though...I think. Sure, there's Rikuo, but Rikuo is different from a mermaid so...

I designed a gorgon for the contest, though I didn't actually make any drawing, do you remember how it was? About the mermaid, she could be a little more seduction oriented than Rikuo.

I'd love to see some new DS characters from scratch as well, another mugeneer has a DS game in the works, seemed serious for a time. We were in talks about creating a 'Fallen Angel' type character named 'Val Kyrie' (Get it?) I also wanted to make a Yakuza/Mob Grave Digger character that carries a coffin on his back, All sprited by me of course.

Now if you're wanting to bring in a Necromancer, Oni and a Harpy, look no further then Red Earth's Scion/Valdoll, Kongou and  Lavia.

Hell, I'm adding Clara Tantra to my Anakaris anyway.

I did have an idea for a new character

my idea consist of a minautor who play a posessed saxophone i already have an idea on how he will looks and on his move for example for is level three the saxophone will grow bigger and absorb the oppenent to transform him into a music note i also have an idea for is ending which will consist of him creating a band with some other darkstalkers character like raptor or felicia

Some of the things that came from the contest:

First place was this grave robber dude (redrawn by a dude at Capcom I think):




And the Gorgon chick too:




Guy even made a Midnight Bliss and Pharaoh's Curse for her as well~







People came up with really good ideas. Don't know if they were going to be used for another Darkstalkers game or not buuuuut yeah! I really like the design on the Gorgon chick and the spiderlady myself.

To be rejected concepts they would have to be rejected, instead of fully sprited characters.

They were assets for a future game, the same way that giant anakaris was a new move and Felicia had her nun outfit
