First of all, DEMITRI.All the other psirtes set are not really great in my opinion, and your work could really bring something to this char, Dampir.After, Talbain, of course, and donovan!
DemitriOnly because he's the star and needs to get an update alongside Morrigan.If you can implement stuff from SVC as well that'd be amazing!Be sure to use the CFJ sprites since they had been updated a bit.
I happen to know an enormously talented and handsome MUGEN author who'd be very interested in Demitri sprites.
Voted Donovan, Demitri, and Felicia. Will you be covering all 3 games' worth of sprites? In the transition from DS2 to DS3 a fair number of animations were either dropped or replaced, and it would be nice to have all of them revamped. Also I have a few unused things ripped you could update, such as an alternate Blizzard Sword projectile for Donovan, and an unused throw animation for Demitri.
The big idea is to retouch a set; search for unused stuff and compile all in one set...after i finish tthese polls i'll add one more witth the winners of each thosee will turn into full sprite projects for next year;maybe i take a resst from kof conversions;something really cool happened with graphic gale during the making of Kof III K' ,to make it simple;it involves a tool that make the work faster, something like reducing the amount of clicks to the half; less clicks> less time spended on each sprite>more sprites done
Usually there is always a dot tool(that draws a 1x1 pixel) and also thre is the palette of the image(sprite in this case)i usually need to choose the dot tool,after that(or before that) i need to choose the color i want(let's not forget i also need to move the mouse)....and then draw the dots(pixels) now that is with idraw...in gfx gale is more direct dot tool an just click the desired colour(right click) over the image...and easily darwing pixels; well maybe i am the last person discovering this way for using the tool ; but it really have come very usefull to me

Aww too bad Zabel isn't in the poll, is my favorite Darkstalker , and others excellent Darkstalkers like Anakaris, Sasquatch, Pyron, Jedah
something everyone knows about darstalkers sprites are the black artline(contours,edges etc) i think even just doing a proper CS(not shading or else) the sprites could be looking great better
As far as the lineart goes, making it a bit cleaner via color separation or whatever would be nice, but personally I'd recommend that it still stay fairly sharp and distinct. Like closer to SFA or SF3 than CvS. Darkstalkers sprites are heavily reliant on linework and contours, but I've seen some attempts at revamps of Darkstalkers sprites than downplay the lineart too much and it ends up looking sort of smudgy and formless. All of this is just my 2 cents, of course.
"You may select up to 3 options" might as well be "You may select up to 2 options in addition to Demitri" lolBut, seriously, I'd love to see Demitri's SvC sprites converted.

His SvC sprites just feel like they're missing a certain je ne se quois that makes Demitri, Demitri. There's nothing wrong with his CFJ set, despite that game's failings.

The CFJ sprite sheet sounds perfect to use, and I love the original fighting stance; the one in SVC is kinda offock.

It's lacking that slightly cheesy, cartoony quality that Darkstalkers has.
Well, SvC Demitri set is a more serious vision cause KOF style spriting is a bit more realistic and less cartoony. I really prefer the SvC spriteset cause it doesn´t cartoony and it looks amazing with that new serious re-imagined devil vampire image, it is a matter of preference Voted Talbain, Donovan and... Donovan.
Yeah but Darkstalkers is just a fundamentally goofy series, it just feels wrong to see serious and toned down Demitri!
maybe i can find a mid-point beetwen dark/serious toned down and cartooned demitri,we'll find out when i get there .....i give k' a month more (maybe a few weeks)
Interesting debate. Personally, I really like the "dark" serious Demitri. Actually, having those sprites converted would be really something, pretty much giving the community a new take on a classic albeit "goofy" character and design. Hope to see SvC style mostly if you end up mixing. Now I'm looking forward to it!
