I'm just curious, but is there a way to delete a large number of files(6000 at least) without having to manually select them?  Like selecting all odd numbered files.  I ask this because I want to delete all the odd numbered files and leave the even numbers, but there are too many files to go through and do it the manual way.

EDIT: Never mind, I've figured out a solution to my problem.

Though you've figured out your solution, I'd like to post mine that I used a while back:

1. Organize the files by name, or date if your shell (Explorer, Finder, whatever) doesn't work well with the naming scheme.
2. Resize the window in your shell so that there's only 2 columns for files.
3. Drag to select from top to bottom.
4. Delete, and you're done!
