Hey guys, what's up everyone? I haven't had internet in the longest, and now I only have access at work, so I don't have much time. I just logged in to let you guys know that my latest edit "Demon Sagat" is up for download @ Esnips.com in a folder named "all about mugen".
It's an edit of "Evil Sagat" by me, which is in part an edit of "Sagat" by Kogason. Now, I'm working on "God Sagat", but there's a lot of work to do on him yet. Thank you, enjoy!

If you don't want to, then don't, you don't have to tell the rest of the world that you won't look for it. I posted this for whoever is interested. Plus, I left all the needed information in order to find it quickly, it's not like you'll be "hunting" for it.

this actually wouldnt be too bad if not for a few things:

fix the standing animation.... the other sagats would look better jumping out of the character with some kind of teleport effect or somthing (like the dhalsims character)...... having shit load of sagats flashing about with the fire effect looks silly as you're opponent cant see what hes hitting..... it also looks like the image is cloning itself.... and is just...... silly (also reminds people of a cheap edit and will turn them off immediately)

it only has a few moves that i could see.... could use some more

tapping hp and hk for fireballs is never good

some damages are too high

i did like the super where sagats rain down on the enemy though, that looks cool

keep working on it and it could be good i guess  ::)

it's not that people in this forum are harsh and hate you for a personal reason:  the purpose is to actually help someone who releases something not so good and to try to give him ways to make it better in term of playability/balance...
when it comes to edits, well, people are bored of the same edits of the same old chars (there are like 100 sagats, 6032 orochis, 13049 ryus and akumas, etc...) with the same glitchy/flashy/shitty moves...you can't blame them for that but they could blame you for editing a char and actually making it worse than how he was before (which is mostly the case in general!)

harsh or not, still nothing personal

Yep.  People who give honest feedback are killing Mugen, not the ones making overpowered characters that aren't any fun at all to fight as or against and getting defensive when not everyone hops onboard and praises them.

It's pretty inconsiderate of you to make a release topic for an edit, not even a creation, and tell people who may be interested to go search for it. Yes, you did tell them what to search for, but really, you had the time to post the message in your very first post, you most certainly had the time to copy and paste an actual download link. You have absolutely no right to get any sort of an attitude with anyone here since you put absolutely no effort in the beginning to get people to actually download this edit.

The funny thing is, I actually THOUGHT about downloading this edit for a second, after seeing that horrible quality video. Then I read this post of yours. Again, you have no right to catch an attitude when you yourself refused to even post a download link. Attempting to call people out on their supposed self esteem issues, not having lives, etc, is quite idiotic, and extremely pathetic. Making personal attacks at potential downloaders makes YOU look bad. As I saw it, no one here flamed you at all, yet you went out of your way to attack them. Not only did you start this off in terrible and inconsiderate fashion, but you also made it so people probably won't even WANT to try this edit. I know I don't, because lord knows I have no life and have self esteem issues. LOL

And I do accept criticism of my characters as well, because it helps me make my character better. What I don't accept is people saying stuff like, "Oh boy another stereotypical edit" or just be sarcastic and stuff. I really didn't mean to make people "hunt" for my character, I just uploaded it to E-Snips, and then I didn't get no download link for it, plus I was at work so I had just one small window open for mugenguild (lol), so I didn't want to open more windows (my bad). I don't think my character is the best (by far), or that I just want to get praised. I just love Sagat, and I wanted to make a Sagat character that could beat that cheap-ass Akuma. All while practicing more with mugen for when I do create my own character, which I will most likely use Sagat's sprites as a base, but I will re-draw on top of them.

I get what you mean, however, trying to get away with what you did, get an attitude about it, then try and speak negatively about people you don't even know makes you look like the moron in the equation, and also makes you look ignorant. "Oh boy another stereotypical edit" is not a flame, it's just someone's opinion, and honestly, it's also a fact. If you don't like it, you can always ignore it, and let that other person come off like a jerk. Instead, you did that job quite well in the end.

I don't know, I just got the "Evil Sagat" files and chaged the palletes, I got the same projectiles codes that I had for "Sulfur" (lazy of me) and replaced it with the demons. I gave "Demon Sagat" totally new moves; he doesn't have a tiger shot, or any of his regular supers. He just sends out demons to attack, then when he's about to die, he releases them in an act of desperation causing high damage and he becomes stronger. I do accept any critizism, as I am humbled with the amazing coding that some of the people in the mugen community do. I honestly admit, that I have copied, and/or learned a lot from their coding. Before I would only refer to the "docs" folder, but that doesn't really explain enough, or in too much detail, and sometimes I would end up without a clue on how to make the moves I wanted to make. I would like to understand the variables part, because I've noticed that that's how ppl program the AI, but honestly I don't understand it.
