Leaving the chest alone, it wouldn't make sense for there to be any light on it during the animation.
That body style is more closer to X than it is to the original Mega Man TBH. In terms of styles though, you definitely know your stuff.
If I recall correctly, the reason MvC megaman is shaded from the front is because capcom reused the sprites from megaman: the power battle, released two years earlier. Basically, they were too lazy to reshade all the sprites. Nice demonstration of the shading styles though.

I"m not sure Why this has become so important to people. I've got to stand by my decision here. Its just a grab anyway.
it's your char, do what you like or is best for him (you)...it was just feedback-opinion, nothing else...
*huge facepalm*did i say light curve?did i notify it?light here can some spots in a frame, while the rest is covered by the jacketin 2 frames there isn't a single highlighted area
I'm telling you the angle his torso is at would block the light completely. What you've done is added under lighting. his shirt isn't metal so no light should touch it.
anis91 said, November 07, 2011, 01:44:15 pmanothah fixno need to tell me that it sucks, i just want to show diep the ideasomething like that I was talking about, you can make the same thing, but making the shadow disappear totally...with just 1 or 2 more frames of transition...even if looks not realistic, looks good, because the original one makes me feel like if it had sprite missing(just ideas if you take in note those opinions)Diepod said, November 07, 2011, 09:04:25 pmI'm telling you the angle his torso is at would block the light completely. Diepod said, November 08, 2011, 01:33:14 amNo it doesn't.Now we're going to stop debating over this, I'm not gonna budge.totally true, but the animation looks more like the last one than the first IMO (the good one)...minus details, but when I saw the animation, I saw something more approeaching to the last draw...anyways, not gonna talk about that anymore xD
