I can't imagine this to be anything less than disastrous for Marvel. Chances are that Disney's going to run the Marvel license into the ground like it was an Activision franchise. I don't even want to think about how badly this is going to fuck up all the Marvel movies that are in production right now.The sad thing is, now, I'll probably get that GLA movie I've been secretly hoping for, but it'll be computer animated and for ages 5+.
well... Marvel now have PIXAR animation studio and the whole movie complex of Disney to make animations and movies. Disney now have Marvel's structure to make comics, and probably will be able to release comics in the US again (something that hasn't been done in a couple of years).the only downside is that Disney is extreme conservative, and that means editorial interference on anything Marvel Related. I don't know how much conservative is Disney nowadays, but I don't expect another "Civil War" happening. i just hope they dos something about Spiderman selling his soul to the Devil. not something Disney would allow, would it? (Despite the rumours that Disney works of the Devil and stuff).

Squirrel Girl is sooo going to get her own series - she fits Disney better than anything else from Marvel I can think of.I feel sorry for Punisher fans though.

Wouldn't have thought Disney Interactive had a wii game in its repertoire that I'd play for five hours and then have personal motivation to keep playing We'll see how it goes. But yeah Punisher fans will likely be disappointed

First of all Marvel was the one who proposed the deal not Disney. So they're not at fault here, they just agreed.Second why do people automatically assume they're going to crossover them with their own properties? Square-Enix bought bought Taito years ago and just recently bought Eidos. We have yet to see Bub and Lara in any SE JRPG. Same thing with Warner Brothers and DC.
Because crossovers are cool and when one company buys another then that entitles them to a crossover.Duh.
