There are a lot of problems and assumptions to made here:

  • A Bug's Life, which according to this theory, takes place in the future, features a bug zapper. The author's defense is that it's a "solar-powered bug zapper" but that's ridiculous because the whole reason a bug zapper works is that it plays off of an insect's instinct to use a light source as a guide (ie: the sun). Also who the fuck would care enough to invent a solar-powered bug zapper?
  • Monster University was started in 1313. You have to *conveniently* accept the idea that monsters/humans/whatever decided to "reset" their year-count if you want to propose that the Monsters movies are far into the future.
  • If Boo is in fact the witch in Brave, why would she turn Mor'du into a bear? The theory states that she wants a companion like Sully and that he's kind of like a bear, but anyone who watched Monsters Inc knows that she calls him "Kitty," so if anything she would want to turn Mor'du into a giant cat or something.
  • The author takes some of the Easter Eggs in movies as proof that this happened (ie: the Sully carving in the witch's den, the Pizza Planet wood carving, etc). If that were the case, how does this explain that Flik and Heimlich from A Bugs Life were chilling on a bush branch moments before Buzz Lightyear hacks it away in Toy Story 2?

Not to play devil's advocate, but...

But yeah, that whole theory seems pretty absurd to me.  There's a lot of stretching and over-inflating the importance of tiny jokes and references to try and twist things into fitting what the author wants them to mean.  I stopped reading around the part where he tried to claim that the joke in The Incredibles about how capes are impractical for crime fighting was actually 'proof' that sentient machines were secretly trying to wipe out humanity.

and not true at all so any mention of this kind of theory needs to mention that it's nonsense - but it's okay to be amused by it
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.
