No, I'm asking him not generally. I know everything about Dissidia and played it for hundreds of hours.

It's just that from what he posted, he thinks giving Gabranth a Basch costume is a waste of effort and that Gabranth is already similar to an existing character. That's just obviously wrong so I came to the conclusion that he thinks Basch was in the game

No, I know Basch was not in the game Dissidia. But the point that I'm making is that Square added the Basch costume just to quite those who were disappointed in their chioce of characters. I'd thought even though they were twins and Gabranth had his different goals and paths than this brother's, the similarity based on apperarance was too repetitive in FFXII. Now is too repetitive in Dissidia based on costume. Also, when did Gabranth ever were that costume in FFXII? Isn't that Basch's costume during the main part of the game?

EDIT- Nevemind that's the Dalmascan officer's uniform. He was wearing it when he impersonated Basch in the beginning of FFXII. Shows how much I know.... :wall:

Technically......he's right on that interpretation seeing as FFTA had a horrible way of making Marche being in the right for what he does.....

And I replayed the game multiple times.

Technically......he's right on that interpretation seeing as FFTA had a horrible way of making Marche being in the right for what he does.....
But... Marche didn't destroy a world, he merely returned it to it's original state. Ivalice was their own world, transformed.

Sure, Marche and friends were happier in Ivalice, but what about the bullies from the start of the game? They got turned into zombies.

Mewt and the others were trying to escape their problems, and that's not healthy. I have no idea how this perception of Marche as a genocidal maniac or selfish villain who won't let his friends enjoy themselves comes from.

Okay then, I'll tell you how:

Ritz: Basically has snow white hair which causes her to ge bullied to the point of dying it everyday. In Ivalice, she has it all the time and has a whole clan at her disposal. Marche forcefully keeps trying to get her back when she doesn't want to.....

Mewt: The only one who can even be actually called on running away. His mother is dead, and his father is a drunkard(or in the NA version, lost his job and wallowing), and no one likes him at school. In Ivalice, he basically turns into a tyrant who everyone obeys, his mother is alive, and his father is Judge Master.

Doned: THE main reason why Marche has this label. He's terminally sick and is forced into a wheelchair. He can't even do any of the things that any other child can do, not to mention he horribly envies Marche because he has everything he wants(mainly friends). In Ivalice, he has friends, can walk and isn't sick, and can do anything he wants.

The sheer fact that in order for Marche to bring them back is that HE BEATS THEM UP, AFTER WHICH THEY DECIDE TO GO BACK!(Except for Doned)

You seriously have to see it from their end, that misrepresentation is extremely easy to spot.

Okay then, I'll tell you how:
I know why they are happier, I never said they didn't have good reasons to stay (except maybe Ritz, her thing is kinda lame). But Marche had a better reason to return home. Running away from your problems is not a good thing. Furthermore, it doesn't really matter that they are happier, because for them to experience that happiness, others had to suffer. Again, the bullies from the start of the game were turned into zombies. Other people were turned into non-human creatures. It's not fair to them.

The problem lies with the fact that in the end, while they cared all for themselves, realistically to them, that's all that matters.

And even then, no one would really care about the bullies being turned into zombies because technically, they are getting their just desserts(not to mention, they were nowhere near the Jagds, so they aren't truly dead), so once again, why should they seriously care?

I know you have a good point, but in the end, it's their happiness that matters and they honestly won't care what happens to a few bullies(I doubt many fans really cared for them) and even then, Out of Sight, Out of Mind.

Because no one deserves to be a mindless, shambling corpse for eternity.

And that's just the bullies. What about everyone else that was transformed into the Nu Mou, Bangaa, and Viera? They certainly didn't have any memories of their former lives. Their old selves were essentially dead. How is that a fair exchange?

Nu Mou & Bangaa: If they had no memories of their old lives, who's to say they were ever wronged?

Viera: ...Is that really such a grim fate?

Because their old selves are gone. Lost forever. They no longer exist. They've been imprinted with new personalities, emotions, and memories. In essence, they have been killed as a result of creating Ivalice. How is being killed to create a fantasy world not a wrong? Fortunately, their lives are restored when everyone returns. I don't see how that's a bad thing.

And yes, I realize one could make the argument that the same applies to the people they've become, that they have every much of a right to exist. I would argue that they still do (exist, that is); after all, Montblanc still appears in other games. The Ivalice of Tactics Advance seems to be a dreamworld, a reflection of the true Ivalice.

Enough about that, we've got new shit to talk about:

Laguna Fuckin' Loire.  Oh, and an Overworld map; no more shitty generic chessboard dungeons. Get hype.

Going to go ahead and guess that his alt will be his Galbadian Uniform.

But anyway Laguna is a nice pick. Honestly I thought they would have picked Seifer over him but shows how much my guesses are wrong. He will be sure to bring some new gameplay the others don't have.

Here is to hoping Gilgamesh will be a playable person.
Thank ya Mr.CrazyKoopa

Laguna confirmed? Jesus, this is amazing. Now Just add either Sabin, Cyan, Setzer or Shadow, Maybe Auron and I'll be happy (Well, Yuffie and Vincent would've been nice too, but... Tifa is fine too)

Yes! The Man with the Leg Cramp is back! ( If that gag is coming back I'm happy...)

Got major case of nostalgia from the overworld map. I'm guessing Square Enix got all the main characters they were crying over out the way, and then room someone unexpected. Also note we only have new heroes. Im assuming the villians will be reveal after the new year.......
