 :-\ i think mugen is slowly fading...with all the cancelled projects and unoriginal editing of characters..theres just almost nothing there...half finished, un-finished..i hate seeing a nice character that has potential and the creator just stops...i've seen some nice looking characters on google images like a a few tekken characters that the creator just left unfinished...some soul calibur characters...interesting styled characters and it just never gets finished...is there anything we the community can do to help creators get that momentum and stuff they need to keep on with a project?? i think we can..

Funny how each month for the last 10 years, somebody who'd done nothing for the Mugen community complained about Mugen dying.

It's like all idiots gather on a chat and say "this month, I'm the one telling them Mugen is dead. If it's not dead by then, next month you'll do it" (pointing at another random idiot).

so a person thinks mugen is dead or losing "it" a little, when there isn't a release per day?

as much as projects are being canceled here and there, there are many others popping up, besides projects take Time and the creators have Lives, Real Lives and problems to attend to. They don't go to mugen and use it, according to other peoples' likings. they're not tools. If the creators really need help they'd ask for it.

if you can't contribute to mugen because of the unrecognized talent you have then a good way you can provide help is if you ask your mom an dad to get you some cash for the beloved creator you miss the most, is the truth try it out!

I do not consider MUGEN a fad that can "lose it" or "fade away".
Only certain people's interest will "burn out".

It's an alternative that will continue to exist, regardless of what else exists.

Slowly fading?? Quality of characters has actually improved if you look into details and original creations. Krang?? Goku Z2??

Cancelled projects?? How about running betas from Jmorphman, Mr. I and Cyanide?? Don't pay attention to Super Dragon Blade. He just needs to learn to pace himself...

Creators who stop usually do so for personal reasons, and ones who do it abruptly are overly ambitious.

Mugen isn't fading one bit. Communities like Guild here and Mugen China are strong and releases come on a daily basis. Lots of obscure stuff has been released as of late since it appears you haven't been paying attention.

Fading?? I highly doubt that.

Funny how someone can think this when Elecbyte is back from the dead and their forum is still alive, and there are like 4 MUGEN Clones (most of them open source) being developed. :P
