Does the groove remover patch for Warusaki3's chars work on Gal129's chars?

Unless Gal's chars are coded in the exact same (outdated) method as Warusaki's chars, no. If they are, just go about it like if you were installing it on a Warusaki character but keep a backup just in case.

As far as I know the patch for Warusaki's characters doesn't work on Gal129's or Rei's characters.  However, you can (mostly) disable groove selection for these characters per the "How to set to disable groove selection.txt" instructions located in each of these characters' Readme folder.  The instructions work under most conditions.
