Doubt about Capcom vs SNK chars

Do you remember if the chars from Capcom vs SNK 1 and 2 (I played the Dreamcast version a long time ago) had Capcom originally designed chars or were they ripped from the Alpha series? I'm making a mugen with SNK chars vs Capcom chars 2but I still miss many of these. I remember that Ryu, Ken, etc were original new chars (I mean the graphics), but I'm not sure about the others.

Capcom chars which are ripped of SFZ3 :
Balrog (Mike Bison)
Cammy
Dan (though he's semi high-res in CVS)
Dhalsim
Guile
Rolento
Sagat
Sakura
Vega (Balrog)
Zangief

Yun comes from SF3, but heavily modified.
Morrigan was pure laziness graphically.
All SNK chars are obviously original.

Dan is as hi-res as the other SFZ3 chars.
And why did you list Chun-Li as using new sprites but Yun as "heavily modified"? ;P

Chunli doesn't use new sprites ? Oh sh*t !!! Got confused.

And Yun sprites seem heavily modified compared to their SF3 counterpart.

I heard that Eagle was going to be used for SFZ but they decided not to put him in.

Another one was that Cody from SF was originally a sprite model of joe from the original SF.

Dunno if they are true or not but Cody's case is compelling.

Chun Li and Dan had new sprites in CvS 2. Chun Li looks more like her SF3 version and Dan looks older than his SFZ appearances.

IMO that was like a mix of chars from different games+why not a mix of sprite styles as well ?=> laziness is more relevant for most

Yes there are other replies but they are not completely clear IMO


Chun-Li:
SFA/SFZ sprites in CvS1/CvSPro
CvS2 - New sprites similar to those for her in SF3

Dan:
Recieved new sprites with a 'semi' new stance in both CvSPro and CVS2

M.Bison/Vega/Psycho Powered Psychopath/etc.: 
Recieved new sprites with a stance based on his SF1/SF2 stance

E. Honda:
Remained SFA/SFZ

Blanka:
Remained SFA/SFZ

Yun:
New sprites that look similar to his SF3 stance but changed a bit in body movement

Eagle:
New Sprites and a Stance semi-based on his SF1 stance

Kyosuke:
New Sprites 'semi'-based on his Project Justice/Rival Schools stance

Maki:
New sprites and Stance (I don't think it would have been based on her Final Fight stance)

Interesting notes about Maki: they changed her outfit and gave her her weapons (I think you could pick those up in FF2, but by default she wasn't armed).
