Download him here!

This is my first complete MUGEN character. As such, it's probably terrible.

It's based on a glitch from Capcom's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure arcade game. Any input/constructive criticism/other tips would be nice!

KNOWN ISSUES:
-Projectile specials in need of balancing

glad to see you could make it!

i noticed that the crouching X is like crazy good, and allows for some really nasty combos (c.X,c.X,c.X,c.X, db.Y and dbdb.Y is a particularly damaging combo if you time it right), and it can even hit when the opponent is on the ground. that's all i'm really noticing now tho

sooner or later, everybody puts up with xiangfei
project thread / obscure mugen wiki / tweeter for mugen stuff

His HERE'S JOHNNY special is pretty abusable, since the X version has little cooldown and the Y version can go through other projectiles, it should dissipate along with the other projectile. (I am thankful it can't go through super projectiles, I just tested this against a Kaiser Wave.).
Also both versions can be shot on the screen at the same time (Y version first, then X)
This is pretty creative for a first, with some funny surprises.

The "having both onscreen at once" thing is intentional, but the rest I can probably fix in the next update
(As in, v1.2, because I only saw this post as I was actively uploading 1.1)

Speaking of 1.1, yeah, it's out

(Also, this isn't truly my first character ever, it's just the first was never completed/released and isn't all that noteworthy)

What was the glitch that this character is based on? I tried this, but a lot of it looks like original material as a joke character.

It was based off of a certain video of two guys playing JJBA on a rom, and when they highlighted Vanilla Ice, his portrait got a shit palette and had the 'DOWN' message in place of his name. Most of the other material is consisted of original jokes as you said,

Actually, in that video, DOWN was just an empty space. However, if you do the same glitch in the player 2 slot (which I did entirely by accident with a friend) then DOWN has a portrait, which is just a recolored Jotaro with Hermit Purple for some reason

His default appearance/palette and the Death 13 audio in one of his intros are the only references to the original glitch aside from name

I just gotta say, not only am I glad someone else knows of this incredibly obscure glitch from a game not everyone knows about, but he's also really fun to play as.  I think you did a pretty good job for your first MUGEN character!
