That unknown fighter could be the son or even the grandson of Trunks as that character time travels. They are atleast making a new story for this game.

I trust Dimps and all thats there sounds good in practice, especially things like being able to cancel into moves. Of course going back to transformable characters doesn't hurt one damn bit. Maybe for once a DBZ will be good enough that my friends care to pick it up. :]

Wow -- suddenly this game looks massive.From the looks of it, there's a slew of characters (many never before seen), and a mode where you select planets to fight random baddies.All things considered (Dimps), I can honestly say I'm looking forward to a new DBZ game. It's been a long fucking time.
Yeah no, that's Dragon Ball Heroes (and its latest video game version, Ultimate Mission 2). The (Japan-only) arcade video game that uses physical cards. The video title does say (in Japanese) that these are two different games, but the English article doesn't point it out, so it looks weird.So far, Xenoverse is only the future guy and future Trunks with that black outfit from the Online game that had time travel and time cops. Though it's not impossible that Xenoverse finally uses the original stuff from both Online and Heroes (that expanded on Frieza's race, the Majins, the Nameks, the cyborgs, humans with Saiyan genes...) and it would be about damn time, seeing how far Heroes has gotten with all the expansions and how fast, it looks like people love it in Japan.

He looks like an actual new game only hero to Me. If they include character creation, this game will be much greater for sure there.
he has absolutely zero new design pieces.Trunks clothes, kid gohan cape, vegeta scouter, gohan head, goku face ( technically they reuse the same face I guess) red coloured hair.If he was a new hero i would have expected him to have actual new clothes.meanwhile trunks has actual new clothes
This is not realy a "new" outfit for Trunks, it's outfit of Time Patrol Trunks from Dragon Ball Online so it's possible that we might get Time Patrol Trunks as a separate char in this game.About the new char, it looks for me like a Fusion somehow gone wrong. =/
