i want to sprite this drawing in melty blood style.. but i am not sure what im supposed to resize it to so it will look normal in game. i want it to be like  a melty blood character, do i have to just resize it randomly until it looks right? or is there another way before spriting it.

Find some meltyblood sprites and make a comparison.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

ok, well i resized it while next to a  melty blood sprite and i cant really get it to look the same. does it need to be redrawn to have the right proportions or something? also is there a way to resize drawings without losing as much quality, because it gets much harder to sprite it after resizing .

you can try using photoshop to re-size or paint shop to make it a vector then re-size it. as in you will have to ink it digitally. you could try inking in sai because you can make vector lines but you need to re-size the image before exporting it as a PSD to photoshop or save it as a PNG and work on it in another program.

Lastly you can re-size the character in the code if you can't do it in any programs.

There is a big difference between proportions being off and the size being off.
