I'm sure it's just the localization of the game that's already out.
Also Musou games are absolutely terrible, but hey they'd rather localize that over the VS Series because people like their mindless button mashing.

"A Nintendo representative has told online gaming publication Polygon that Nintendo president Satoru Iwata won’t be attending E3 next week due to health related reasons. Iwata has been instructed by his physician not to travel overseas at this moment in time. However, it’s still business as usual for the Nintendo president.

While I don't mind the series staying on consoles (The netcode is flawless) playing local VS mode is absolutely terrible, splitscreen isn't that big of a deal (You can still appreciate details) but the game's framerate goes all the way down to 30 and the game just feels like a cheap PSP port, a PC port would probably fix that, and then make the game a huge messy battle royale or allow you to have more than two teams with more than two members, it would be glorious (Too Bad MaxiBoost runs on PS3 hardware)
