Hello again, Everyone!

This is an updated 'patch' for the Cammy char by chuchoryu and Varo_Hades, using the char base from POTS (phantom of the server), so all credit goes to them.



I've managed to do a great deal since last time, and I find her ready enough for a New Year's release.

What I've done now: (By 12/31/2014)
-Edited her Victory Quotes. Now not only she has several General Quotes, she also has specific quotes when defeating certain chars (Mostly Street Fighter).
-Changed her small Portrait (Thanks to Hades).
-Added Victory Portrait (9000,2 - 320x125).
-Fixed the issue with the colors on her glove/boots.
-Edited some palettes to go along with her 'Gloves/Boots' edit (only 7).
-Edited many of her PCXs (added abs, fix colors, etc....)
-Edited the new stand animation (chest more proportionate to the rest of the sff images).
-I have made the Patch more easily to add.
   1-Get Cammy from ChuchoRyu (make sure it's the one called 'Cammy2014chuchoryu')
   2-Add the 'Tiger-Cammy' def file and the 'Tiger-Cammy' folder into the char.
   3-Make sure that on your Select file you have the following:
      Cammy/Tiger-Cammy.def
   4-Turn on MUGEN and Enjoy!
-BONUS!:
While editing her, I managed to create a new stand for her.

This was basically already in the sff, but seems Chuchoryu never got around to finish it.
It needed a lot of work, but had a lot of potential.
New Right Arm, edited her left arm, new sideways head, some special touches, and now I have a stand similar to her SF2 stand.
And YOU CHOOSE IT! On her DEF file you choose her stand animation:

All that is left to do:
-Edit her sprites to add her classic SF2 military boots.
-Minor image edits, if found.

How can you help?:
I know many of you are 'details-freaks' like myself. And even if I edited this Cammy pcx by pcx, I might have overlooked something.
If you find any image out of place, edited wrongly, or even have an advice, let me know.

This has been quite the great experience.
All I wanted to do was to make a SSF2 ending for this Cammy.
Ended up editing the char itself to a level I never thought I could.

Any feedback (good or bad) and advice will be appreciated.

Hey everyone!

This is a 'patch' for the Cammy char by chuchoryu and Varo_Hades, using the char base from POTS (phantom of the server), so all credit goes to them.



I'm not a spriter, nor a coder, nor a creator. All I did was to edit this char to my liking.

What I did: (by 12/19/2014)
-Edited the new stand animation, now it includes eyes 'blinking' and abs details. Head was edited using other sprites from the same char.
-Edited the crouch animation, now also includes eyes blinking.
-Edited some intro and 'win' animations (Added 'abs').
-Fixed some intro and 'win' animations, including the ones when defeating Dhalsim, and facing Vega(Claw) and Bison(Dictator).
-Addded some Victory Quotes.
-Added a SF2 Ending made by me, using sprites from this char(for Arcade Mode). It includes sound.

There might be other sprites that also need some small edits. I will work with them along the way as I find them (and have time to do so).

Chuchoryu might have an updated Cammy soon to be released, so when that comes, you may discard this patch.

It's the first time I edit a character like this, so I learned a lot along the way.

Any feedback (good or bad) and advice will be appreciated.

I just hope that a patch can be made for her Frankensteiner. Seriously, Hooligan Roll and Frankensteiner are inverted and I have no idea of fixing this.
I'm not Crazy...I'm just Mentally not-ill enough....

Looks nice the update :thumbsup:, and don't worry if Chucho makes another update because could be in much time, and I can comment him about your patch for including in the next update, only hope that he can update the sprites of her boots or if someone can do would be perfect :D

Thanks! And about the boots? Yeah, been thinking of that. Once I finish with some other edits, I will start on them. Just to see how it goes.

Which Cammy did you use? It's Cammy Delta Red that Chucho made.

If you look closer it has a new .DEF file and it's "CammySF2". So you have to change that in your roster.

This patch certainly improves quite a bunch in Cammy's visuals. Just his stance is already a huge change for the best, in my opinion~

The only remaining thing that bothers me about Chucho's Cammy sprites is how the boots and beret have a completely red palette, yet her gloves or whatever you call them still share colors with the skin shades. In my opinion, that feels very inconsistent his default palette, and some others too. That and her arms and face feels very pillow shaded in her running animation. Another problem I remember, although not exactly related to the sprites, is that she is simply invisible in her intro against Chun-Li.

Still, your patch is something I really enjoy to have, and actually made me want to keep Chucho's Cammy in my roster~ I'll only be looking for a better lifebar icon for her, although I can't really remember anyone who might've done it.

I've seen some gifs at DevianArt for a proper CvS Cammy (Delta Red, not Bison's Doll). Intros, Stands and wins.

I wouldn't mind seeing a CVS sprite Version of Cammy, be it Delta Red or Killer Bee.
but yeah there is still the problem with her Frankensteiner and Hooligan roll to Frankensteiner.

Since you're using that lifebar by Tatsu, maybe you're messing up the palettes. I think you'll have to ask for help in the proper thread/subforum instead of this one.

Yes, the gloves and boots share colors. I was thinking on editing that when I start working on her military boots. Might require a lesson in palette separation, though. (That's why I'm leaving this for last.)

I took out the intro with Chun-li. I had the same situation. Although I prefer it like this. Like in her win animation with Dhalsim. She 'faints' since "Dhalsim returns gives her consciousness". This is ok against her during her 'Doll days'. But by her Delta Red time to present, it's not necessary.  (Any true Cammy fan can correct me if I'm wrong).

I'll have a look at her running animation. Thanks for the feedback.

I think you could use Cammy by PotS and copy and paste each part of her gloves and boots because they're already separated (something that Chucho could have done when he edited her into this) :P

I will be releasing another patch shortly. This second one has some additional edits on some sprites (perhaps details that most won't notice) among other things. But first I want to check each pcx before I release it. 

About the Gloves and Boots...

(This is just a test/teaser. Not the final work.)
I'm already working on it. But this will take longer to make. (This will be for my 3rd patch, if I get there).

You're welcome! I haven't seen what you said about the small portrait before. I'm so sorry. I'm glad you like it. I loved her big portrait too ;)

She's looking great :D I see some issues with that stand you're showing but like you said, it's just a test. So, I prefer waiting until the final version and I'm sure it'll look great :)

I've also made new LvL 3 Portrait for her when she first was released. I don't like it at all but I prefer this one instead of the one she already has (I'm sorry Varo_Hades!)

The stance is nice, but the glove still borrows skin shades. Thing is that you need to give it the same shades of red as the beret, so everything looks more nicely separated.

Ok, what I see is that the Glove's shades, part of the face, and part of the boots all share palettes. If I edit the gloves, some parts of the head an boots will follow... However... if I take those colors, take the pcx out, edit them correctly (using those same colors), and place it back, then that should work.
(Sorry if I sound like a noob. I am.)

Here is a sample:

The right glove is the regular one, and the left one was just edited, using the colors of the beret.
I can make this happen. I will have to take each image and edit it one by one. (Plus remove all brown from her boot... just a thought.)

(...I just described how color separation is done, haven't I...    :blank:  )

Took the browns from her boots, gave it all black tones.
This glove/boot edit means I have to recheck her other palettes.
I have to admit it's looks WAY better. Gonna take a while for the 2nd patch, but it's going to be a major one.

That would be awesome! But It's better to wait until I'm done with all this details and color swap. I'm doing some touch-up edits as I go.

It's hard for me to tell if the chest size is accurate or not, because I didn't even notice it much. It seemed about right to me, but I might be wrong.

Chest on the left seems more accurate to DR Cammy. The one on the right seems inflated and unnatural if you know what I mean.

I have to admit that while editing her sff, I have noticed that her stand animation's *cough* chest size... is a slight different compared to other sprites. I will try to do something to even her up, without making it look too er... voluptuous.  :blush:

--UPDATE! (on the chest issue)--

Managed to work between the 2 sizes. Mostly using shadow.


Now her chest goes along with her other animations.  :)

This update will be part of the new patch I will release soon.

(I'm pretty sure there will be those who would want the big-chest one...  --; )

try to use Zero Sennin's SSF2THD Cammy Sprites as your main model for you edit, if don't ask felo for his old cammy sprites

Some sprites from her level 3 attack, maintain her shadaloo doll suit :P

This upgrade on Chucho's Cammy it's really important. After you finish her once for all I can continue to make Cammy on Delta Red in VS Style :D

While I was editing her, I found a few sprites that were unchanged by ChuchoRyu, but I thought that they were not used... Until recently when it came to my attention that her 'Electro-shock' animation was unchanged. I didn't think I could manage a change like that but I gave it a try. And guess what:



It came out better than expected!  ;D

I'll be editing the rest of the untouched sprites.

Thanks! Once I finished the already mentioned sprites, I would have literally changed all her sprites to her Delta Red Uniform. I would release another upgrade patch soon before starting to work on her boots.

hmmm Not bad overall bud, but I have 2 things to ask.
1) Will her Frankensteiner/ Hooligan Roll throws be fixxed?
2) Is it possible to add Cammy's Psycho effect colors into the palette scheme (When she EX attacks you u see that blue flame come out, even in LVL 2 attacks)? I know Bison's move is taken out but it would be a good idea to add that in there PLUS abit of color separation on her.

1) It's not the first time I see the "Frankensteiner" Term used. I still have no idea what it means.

I'll check on that. But could it be that her size on her constant cns file is:

xscale= .8333333
yscale= 1

Ok, I compared an image of this with one of POTS, seems there is a difference in size. In theory, if I resize the sprites, this should solve the problem. Gonna give it a try.

Frankensteiner: A specialized throw where the practitioner grabs the opponent with his/her legs and does a back flip, suplexing the opponent and damaging both Neck and spinal cord. With enough pressure added on the legs can also damage the skull as well with Blood flow circulation loss and with enough force can break the person's neck.
In short: Cammy's Infamous and "Seductive" Kick Throw (2K forward or back) .
Cammy has 3 variations of this move. The stand kick throw, the mid-air kick throw, and the hooligan roll throw near the opponent's head.
I suggest paying attention to PotS Cammy on her throws and get some info gathering on her. That way you can implement this on DR Cammy.
EDIT: Heres some pics so far on how off key some throws are. Perhaps this can give u a better understanding of whats going on.

Frankensteiner (Kick throw)

abit off key from Ryu's head like it's supposed to connect. Still works properly but needs slight editting. I might be able to fix it via throw creator (if I can figure out how to add the opponent sprites too).

Air Frankensteiner (Jump Kick throw)

Reversed..

Cross Scissor Pressure (The throw after Holligan Roll on opponents midsection)


Fatal Leg Twister (Holligan Roll Throw on opponent's Head)
  Like Air Frankensteiner...Reversed.

Yeah, seen it's a bit off sometimes. That's more coding, I believe. Wouldn't hurt to see how POTS did it with her Cammy...

Another think I am finding is that the more I compare the sprites, the more I realize that there are sprites missing. AKA, more sprites to find and edit.
