Let me list some flaws and inconsistences in the 17% beta.

* First of all, she needs EVERY ONE of the 63 positions seen in the basic chart, from 5000,0 to 5070,20:



Otherwise she will disappear during throws and most of custom states. It isn't just important, it's crucial.



* It's a good idea to rename the files

kfm.cns, kfm.air, kfm.cmd, kfm.sff and kfm.snd

to

eri.cns, eri.air, eri.cmd, eri.sff and eri.snd

. modifying her .def file accordingly.

* Remove the file kfm.act from her folder, it isn't used anywhere.

* You used the .cns file from KFM, but you didn't remove most of his codes for special attacks and other moves. Therefore she can execute Kung Fu Blow with QCB + b and Smash Kung Fu Upper with QCB x 2 + b. She also executes the throw attempt with fwd + b close to the opponent. Remove all of these codes.

* Most of her animations don't look accurate to Vanguard Princess. They are mostly misaligned and sometimes her sprites are out of order, or the animations have missing sprites.

The most blatant examples are her run, backstepping and her crouching position.

A good idea is using Animget ( http://www.mediafire.com/?h3y0zo17tq09uqy ), record 3-5 seconds of Eri performing the desired action, then studying the screenshots so you'll know the proper sprites and timings.

* She doesn't have the anim 6 (Crouch Turning), therefore she disappears if opponent jumps over her while she's crouching.

* Her basic attacks are identified as [200, 210, 240] for standing ones. [430, 410, 440] for crouching ones. [630, 610, 640] for aerial ones. Most used numbers for 3-button characters are [200,210,220], [400,410,420] and [600,610,620].

Using other values can make other future codes harder to implement, since the current order of your numbers doesn't follow a proper logic.

* The pausetime of her Crouching A is [20,20]. It removes the feeling of a weak attack. The pausetimes usually found in weak attacks vary between [6,6] and [9,9].

* The combo QCF + A, QCF + b, "Triple Kung Fu Palm" whiffs during the last move, while it shouldn't. Probably one of these attacks is taking more juggle points than she has available.

* Her CLSNs are bad. Sometimes they're too small.




Sometimes too large.


It's a better idea adjusting the CLSNs so you don't have more than 2 boxes occupying her body.

Although I don't recommend in this specific case, there's a way to see the CLSNs in Vanguard Princess.

In the folder of the game, open the file game.cfg

and search the line

Editor.TestPlay.HitJudge=0

Change to

Editor.TestPlay.HitJudge=1

Now you can study many data from the game:



As you can see they use many blue CLSNs, from 4 to 6 and this is unnecessary. Using 2 or 3 CLSNs brings a more simple, clean and efficient result.

These are the most prominent flaws in her. Many things wrong regarding animations, missing sprites and CLSNs. Since these are common mistakes among people who are making their first creations, you will get rid of them really easily if you play more attention to every animation that you add to her.

About the alignment problem, there are ways to make a perfect alignment, but they require hacking the game. The correct CLSNs and anims are what you should take as priority for now.

As I said of the animations and CLSN in fact not shown by the fact that and put these sprites but I'm working on it to improve it and also remove those attacks included a Kung Fu Man

For now you can stop bumping this thread, RagSen announced he cancelled Eri's project and he doesn't know if he will keep working on her.
