I've been constantly trying to enjoy mugen 1.1 but I keep getting this msg with certain stages...

Error message:
BG error reading stages/Dark Forest the Slender Man.def

Library error message: Error reading sprite stages/Dark Forest the Slender Man.sff

Could someone explain why?

The message is pretty self-explanatory : it can't read the SFF of your stage. Maybe it's corrupted, or it's just bad and doesn't work. Fix that stage if you know how, or just remove it.

I removed it. It's weird how these stages other people are getting to work, won't work for me. Thanks for the reply
