Hi,As you may have seen, am building the Mugen game MK:Gothica. After this game is fully finished I am planning to put computer hardware in a custom built arcade case with Xarcade controls, to make it feel like an original arcade system. But getting all that out the way my question is:Is it possible in Mugen to exit out of the character select screen with out the use of the ESC key? Is there a way to map this to a joypad?I already have found a way to do this put it requires external software, which I don't really want to use, but if I have to I will. Thanks for any Info!Kreeddem.
Hi, whilst I dont have anything to help you out with, I would like to point out that due to some people recurrent attempts to profit of mugen and the work of others by placing it on normal arcades and charge money, those kind of questions arent always received with enthusiasm.Dont get surprised if you get a couple of harsh answers.Have a good day!
get a usb to circut tool and just map esc to a button... it would be the same as using a usb to pc controller.but don't do it to sell it , rrrrr

I mean people who make most mugen characters are stealing and maybe selling there games they make, thats just life, now, you have a nice day.Valodim said, July 16, 2008, 04:58:55 pmdon't think there's a way without some serious binary hacking.use glovepie Thanks mate for a straight up answer!
Oh yeah really mature there, you gonna sell the work of others and find that perfectly normal? Next you know it you are selling arcades with mame on it too? That's growing up?Go look through some dictionaries and find moral responsibilities, that's no better than those people that sell mugen through auctions.
Iced, he never said anything about selling it in his first post.kreeddem said, July 17, 2008, 12:27:43 pmand even if I did want to sell it in the future, whats it to you or anyone else for that matter. At least, not generally. There's no point to it.

I mean people who make most mugen characters are stealing and maybe selling there games they make, thats just life, now, you have a nice day.^ That is from common human behaviour, which is anger and to piss off the opposing person (while not really meaning it)I thank you for sticking up for me, but if I move house for instance or need some extra cash in the future, yea I will have to sell it, it's life. You sell things, you move on.
Mugen creators don't sell their stuff, they make it as fanart for theirselves, and share it with other people. If you move house for instance or need some extra cash in the future : you work and earn it, and don't use other people's stuff for your own benefit, it's life.
So you are basically going to a mugen forum, where people code stuff with the attitude of "Shut the fuck up you all I will sell those things you are giving away for free if I have to!"And then you expect others to react well?its not only illegal to sell mugen and the work of others, its immoral. If you want to sell an arcade cabinet you built? By all means go ahead, but crafting an arcade cabinet running emulators or fangames to sell? Cant say anyone will agree with you there buddy.
the cabinet houses the game, so yeah he would be selling mugen for gain which is wrong even if he did need it or is moving. if you have to sell something that other people put time into and you cant take it when you move do not create this cabinet. do some real work outside of the mugen community if money is what you want.
selling one custom arcade box with mugen on it would be perfectly fine in my book. the two factors which together might make it immoral area) not telling the buyer about the origin of the software - which would probaly lower the price even, since it means the buyer doesn't know about the possibility to extend it andb) industrializing the process, selling a single machine originally made for personal use is completely oksince neither of these are even remotely involved - don't further discuss it.
um he said its for personal use kreeddem said, July 17, 2008, 12:27:43 pmSorry to be harsh but grow up man, this project is for me and me only, and even if I did want to sell it in the future, whats it to you or anyone else for that matter.
