Oh is that what this topic was about?  I thought it was about wanting anime eyes.  The video guide I posted is really helpful btw you should try it.

The same thing can happen from wearing normal contacts when falling asleep with them still in. The risks in this case are probably increased by the size of the lenses and because they apparently aren't held to the same standards as prescription contacts. Pretty scary situation for the kid though, but she might get out of it okay if the surgery works out.

I used contact lenses for few years, oftenly I forgot to take them off at night, but since it comes with eyedrops, I just use it in the morning if I couldn't open my eyes.

without them or my glasses, everything is rendered in bilinear filtering.

I think they are supposed to have tiny holes in them so air can get through.

I don't want to have to wear glasses but I need to do something about my astigmatism.

probably doesnt help that not being prescription they are never talked through the dangers of it.
