I recently purchased Fallout 3 GOTY Edition for the PC and have spent the past several hours trying to instal it. When i place the disk in I get no response and when I try to manually start my DVD drive it freezes up and crashes. I thought at first it might be a issue with my DVD drive, however it runs other game discs such as WC3, Wrath of the Lich King and the like. I then thought it might be a SecuRom issue as i had Daemon tools previously installed but after clearing out both Daemon and erasing SecuRom data I still had no luck.I still get no response when trying to instal this one game and it is frustrating the hell out of me. If anyone has any advice or suggestions I would love to hear them.
You could try downloading an ISO of the game and using the CD key you have to validate it. Bethesda might also allow you to enter a CD key on their webstore to download the game (Blizzard does this for players who lose their discs)edit: is it also possible that FO3 GOTY is a blu ray disc and your drive isn't a blu-ray drive?
