yet battle arena toshinden has peru, sri lanka, and malaysia which i don't think i've ever seen as countries of origin in another fighting game

And he got the citizenship because of his 2 years stay at the country(plus working, etc). Also, in the previous stages, Marduk was going to be Aussie too.

About the "Mis Mike the same Bison?" NO. Mike was once a boxing champion(and fell of his throne because he accidentally killed an opponent in a fight) while Bison has been trying to be.

Asia FTW: Japan, Thailand and South Korea (because Juri Han <3). Also, i've some doubts about this map:
-Isn't Hong Kong independized of China a lot of years ago?? (I mean, Dan is in China?? why??)
-Boohooo for Oceania, the only continent with no representants in SF :(

Poison is USA along with the guys from Final Fight so I don´t think adding him will matter. Hakan IIRC is from Turkey, or it was Marruecos?? Should be added to this.

From Turkey, yes. Now the doubt is from which turkish part, the european one or the asian one (I bet the latter)

Also, there's no southamerican representant who speaks spanish, Capcom just choose Brazil and it's the only country who speaks portuguese, and the only fighter that could talk in spanish from whole America is El Fuerte (since T.hawk is more native american than mexican)

Italy, South Korea and USA.

Rose and Juri are my favorite SFIV characters. I also like Gen but I picked USA because it has more characters I like such as Cody, Rolento, Guy, Viper, Alex and Balrog (Only SFIV version) while China only has Gen, Yun and Yang.

I still find it funny how Capcom was able to create characters from all over the world in more than 20 years yet SA only has 3 (Actually 2 if Oro is Japanese) characters and they're all from Brazil :|

same goes for the SEA 3 characters from thailand. japan and thailand had good ties way back from ww2 so i'm not surprised about that and i bet it's the "war censorship" is the reason why the SEA countries aren't popular in japan.

France simply because the best grappler in SF history is there.

mexico in snk has got great characters, mexico in sf is awful. the only way for people to choose mexico is to cheat and use slam masters characters.

About Gill & Urien's "real" country, it's been said(mythology) that there was an island in the Mediterranean called "Thalassa"(means "ocean", thoughh) where all its people were PERFECT, both physichal and psychical. It fits both of them.

I got this while searching stuff for my next book(the third!).

Also, voted for Italy(Rose!!), Spain(nooo...really?;P ) and China(Chunners and others)

I voted on Mexico thinking Urien would be there being that his stage in 3S was Mexico. :(

I went based off of how the old school announcer proclaimed where you were going. Brazil and Thailand are embedded in my mind. I also selected Spain because Vega/Claw is my all time favorite SF character.

Also, when the world cup is going on, I always hear thad damned SF2 announcer call out which countries are playing. Happens every time!!
