Resurrection. Again. Yes.

Just to talk about Viper this time:

ALL her special attacks has been finished. Now she  misses:

- Focus.
- Throw 2(the one she sits on her rival and etc)
- Miss Throw.
- Ultra 1.
- Ultra 2.
- Win1.
- Win 2.
- Intro(finding a good base for her walk was a Hell, but finally came up with...Ash Crimson-Viper, xD!)

Aside these, I'm thinking in adding one or two new attacks; what do you think?
First would be:

And second would be the "circular" kick from her Ultra 2.

YAY!!! PROGRESS!! But IMHO, I don't think C.Viper would do a kick like that.

Agreed, however you could always add the eye beam special from UMVC3.
Is a mess. :gonk: Needs sexy new coding to go with sexy sprites.

In a SF-type of setting I don't think the eye beam is advisable. But people who want to include her in MvC style games could consider it. It's a pretty useless move in MvC anyway though as far as I've seen.

Maybe the eyebeam can be used has a super/ultra since she lacks in that departement?

She has three. Her supers in SSF4 and MvC3 are identical with the slight exception for Burning Dance and Full Throttle which are virtually the same move they just operate a little differently.

That's what Cazaki said; she has 3 different super moves, but in SFIV they're separated into a regular super and 2 ultras. :P

Wow!! Thanks for the replies!!

Well, kick seems not to be welcome, so it's out :). I haven't played UMvC3, so I haven't seen that eye beam, and can't find that attack in youtube(all are Viper combos :/). If someone can help me finding that, it would be very preciated :). Aside that, the YT DLer doesn't works on my PC, even installing it again and again so it's a bit WtF.

Now, working in her ultra. I can't decide which sprite between these two:



The first looks better, but the second could be used (again) for the second ultra, since it wouldn't have to change the leg.

To be honest with you FeLo, even thought the RIGHTmost sprite has more line detail in the pants, I really don't like the hot mess that's going on in her pelvic region.

Looks like her legs connect and she has no crotch and it also makes her butt look weird...the whole area looks out of proportion and the legs don't make sense.

I have to go with the Left sprite.

Keep up the amazing work hermano. 8)

The problem is that the right one is just the left sprite redcolored. Because you didn't redraw the legs as if they really were in a different position the pelvic region looks messed up.

- Status: Finished. I'm not thinking in adding more stuff.

C. VIPER

Well, after some personal problems, another HD crash and stuff, I did somethings with Viper. Still, haven't finished but I'm now at around 53 sprites to finish her.

What's missing:
- Ultra 1: I did it. But it somehow bugs me, so MAYBE I'll change those sprites. 14 sprites to convert.
- Ultra 2: 21 sprites to convert.
- Intro: phone taling. Found a good walk base, so I just have to convert those legs. 5 spriets to convert
- Intro: as in MvC3: she "falls" from sky while speaking to her phone. 4 sprites to convert(LOL!)
- Taunt: 4 sprites to convert.
- Laser Beam: from MvC3. I have those cool screenshots, thanks to Beximus(you're supercool, man!). Still, 5 sprites to finish the animation.


And more important. After finishing these, I'll paste every sprite into a giant BMP. WHY? Just for fix wrong colours and making a deeper colour separation.

And that's it.

Now, f someone could send this topic into "sprite project" I'll be more than thankful :)!! Did myself, didn't know that authors of topics were allowed to do that :D

PS: Also, another spriter(who's awesome) and I are teaming and will start someone who's like a midget, during next month. Stay tunned!!

I'm dying to see some C. Viper samples with her default palette (or any recognizable palette from SF4, for that matter). I've always loved her design, and I'm very curious to see her in action :nice:

Just curiosity - When you visualize Viper in SF4, what stage do you imagine her in? I've been flirting with the idea of trying my hand at a SF4 stage from scratch for a while :P
