Here, have an excellent exposition that shows why I am so angry about this whole World Cup thing.
To quote Lt. Frank Drebin: "Cheer up, Ed. This is not goodbye. It's just I won't ever see you again."

In addition, we also have very serious problems like the fact that parties paid by the government TRAIN prostitutes, to be a "p***y of gold" for corrupt politicians from other countries.

Incomplete stadiums, and may collapse at any moment, killing more people than the two who died poor workers to work and try to win the damn "day our daily bread."

Two stages have been deprecated, but there was bribery and kickback .... Needless to say what the outcome was.

And let's not even talk about how practically all of our basic services are ruined, yet they got the money to fund this event and construct all those white elephants. Hospitals? You better don't even get a cold, or you'll die on the rows waiting. Schools are awful and overrun with marginals. Security is practically nonexistent, criminals can do whatever they want and escape punishment, but if you steal a bread to eat be prepared to spend a good time in jail.

The country our politicians are selling to the world is a lie, a farce.

God. And I thought my country was worse.

Sadly, the brazilian people take football way too seriously for their own good. Hope there's no catastrophe in stadia, because... that would ruin Brazil's image with the world. Now all takes sense why there's pressure to re-evaluate the host for the 2022 World Cup, that currently still belongs to Qatar. If Brazil is having problems completing the stadiums with a 7 year time span... I don't want to know how worse would be Quatar who has 11-12 years to complete theirs, and that's if they still keep the hosting rights.

First goal in the world cup was made by the country hosting this years world cup and it was slef goal. Diablos
I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

The problem with Qatar is not about being able to make the stadiums and infrastructures. They're rich, they can do it without any problem.
The problem is that there's probably bribery behind all this, and that 50°C are not good conditions to play football.

Those matters too.

To the point they would be willing to make the world cup in January 2022. Which is a strong opposition by many european leagues.

Brazil played really badly in this debut, we even got a penalty that wasn´t a penalty this early on the world cup?? not a good sign...

Yeah, the economic backlash Brazil received for this is ridiculous and it is terrible that many constructions aren´t even ready... not even 35%. Disgraceful. Hope at least this doesn´t end in a stadium collapsing or something, that will destroy Brazil´s view of the world completely.

UAE would be a much better choice, if we were to pick a Middle East country.
