Can we still only use a single .sff file in 1.1?Maybe the palette change could be done with an explod overlay, instead of different palettes.
Cyanide said, July 30, 2011, 01:18:32 pmAnd stages, and fonts. And character FX. The only thing it's not good for is a character. With remappal this is even LESS of an issue as you don't need to include FX in the characters palette to change them if you want to. So the character can make full use of all 255 available colours and still be able to change the colours of the FX as well (if they're not 32bit)Although when you get down to it, you'd prefer a more limited colour count because too many often looks worse than not enough. That would depend on the quality of the sprite. When is 1.1 going to be realesed. I'm thinking about waiting to make another screen pack until it's out.
Well, if the game's ever completed you will be able to hit Jon-B himself. That's it, if you know him and hate his music

Oh, so nothing is actually working in a game then, it's concept art.Still looks nice though, but I'm curious to see the 3D stages. I don't notice anything in the screen shot that I couldn't do in mugen.

I actually don't know about that, and so I'm in the process of finding out from him, but I think it might be from Fighter Maker since he posted it in the FMHQ forums. But Fighter Creator would actually look better.Edit: that screenshot was just concept art.
But you can have full 3D right, like If I wanted to make a game like soul Calibur, or maybe an action game like Devil May cry?On that thought, can you link stages, having one transition in to another?

Yes, you can.No, you can't link stages, but they can be large enough to where they won't need to be linked.
I'm looking for something like SC so I'm really excited about your product. Since I don't know how to clone the engine.
Is it possible to have a function for Scaling or deforming sprites based on target points? Like bones in 3D, or bezier curves that can be used for sprite warping? Something like this http://www.math.ucla.edu/~baker/java/hoefer/Bezier.htmI was trying to make this in mugen yesterday with Scorpion's spear, but was having too much trouble locking one end point to the enemy. Having the rope bend would need to be done in Photoshop also. What would be awesome is if we could tile a sprite or texture along a curve, so it doesn't get too distorted during deformations.Since you have the cloth effects, maybe the middle points could use some cloth properties to move around on their own...
