Sorry, but I cordially disagree on XIII being garbage.And a lot of XIII-3's been rather contradictory and detrimental to character development thus far....which is a damn shame.

they should have just made a separate game/ff revision, I hate ho sqre is so scared of creating / dropping characters, even final fantasy xiv, which has a name change is recycling characters.
It's not really that they're scared to drop the characters, the Lightning trilogy was decided pretty early (not talking about the FF13 / FF Versus 13 / FF13 Agito trio, but it was at least already decided when they started FF13-2) so it's not weird for them to go through with the story they wanted to make. If anything, it's simply taking quite some time to finish, so it feels to us like we're spending three numbered games on it.

No shit they are the same person, that wasn't the point I made.2. Lightning states in XIII she gave everything up including her name to take care of Serah so technically, Lightning and Claire can easily be 2 different people at this point.3. Lightning might as well be a new persona and Claire named HERSELF Lightning, it wasn't a nickname she adopted.
