Intriguing.It might be easier if you focus on spriting first and then add the color separation in later.
Never took the time to watch adventure time, so I can't comment so much.However, the spriting is top-notch, as usual, so no doubt this will turn out awesome. Just hoping you'll still have time to finish/continue/start the few Z2 related things you had planned.
This is too fucking cool. I've seen only two episodes of Adventure time (that surprise birthday train ride and the oafish "human" woman who is afraid of everything but wants to eat all of candyland), and I love it already.Seeing this project in the works is a very good thing. I got my eye on this, as well as a slot awaiting this to be released in my roster.Go crazy with nods to plenty of other characters, as well as metamorphosis moves involving his little buddy. Sorry, I'm hazy with names still.

^ Damn how could she hate this cartoon? Your girlfriend has a weird sensibility to her I'm guessing. I've seen every episode and know as much of the mythos as my aging brain will allow me to remember when appropriate. It'd be really cool if you modeled as many attacks as possible after Finn's poses from direct screengrabs & whatnot ala JJBA's All Star Battle; nearly every frame is a reference/call back to the source material. Flat color planes + black outline leaves a lackluster aesthetic to characters imo; (I'm thinking DDR's creations here). Even the cartoon source material has character shading, and as extensive as the color separation already is , it couldn't hurt to go that extra mile in the graphics department.Also suggesting "Buff Baby Shak'a' my Can Finn" for Retromutated sprites!
Might I also suggest a movie where Jake gets out of Finn's backpack, transforms into a Finn clone and attacks during a super move, kind of like Morrigan's Darkness Illusion Special.
^ that Darkness Illusion idea would actually be a better fit for Alternate Universe Finn: He appears out of an Enchiridion portal and does attacks while his non-magic Jake stands behind him and barks for the duration of the super, then the final blow could be a bite from quadruped Jake as they both run offscreen into another portal.

Hmm, the Jake suit would also allow you to do things normal Finn wouldn't be able to do (to have it make sense at least), like a giant foot transformation, that demon form, etc.

Jake suit could simply allow Finn access to a buff power bruiser type moveset, if you want to do those other shape-shifting techniques Jake is residing within Finn's backpack for the duration of the match so its not like they're not accessible otherwise. Darkness Illusion don't really fit Finn anyway, IMO.Also, remember that transformations in MUGEN have to be done in a certain way to avoid problems where you get thrown and transform back and forth.

Cool I'm all about adventure time and all about mugen, so this is the absolute coolest WIP ever in the history of MUGEn Chars (Except all those other attempts at Finn which we won't talk about) The sprites so far look fluid and well done, Anyway my 2 cents I think a wild idea for A level three Hyper, or Extinction or Infinite move depending on your point of view, would be he puts on the Ice King's Crown and becomes "The Ice Prince" like in the show and flips out and freezes everything, And strikers of all the supporting charachters, especially BMO, Marceline, and Lady Ranicorn would be Flippin Awesome. Anyway, amazing work so far, I can't wait to see what comes next
