So wheres the Elric love?... Personally I'm glad this came out. I had such a hard time accepting the 51 episodes + movie... should've been milked dragged out and buttered!

The first 20-ish episodes of the first anime were fine... the Mizushima fucked up with the other world and the movie was so goddamn awful with the Nazi stuff.

Also, no Ling, screw that.

I'm waiting till it gets to Ling's introduction since before that, the first anime and manga were nearly the same (before the first anime fucked it up and went away too far from the manga's story)

When I first heard this anime was going to follow the manga I was waiting for it, then the same thing that happened with dragon ball kai happened with this, the "I have already read the manga, so I don't feel like wathicng it agian" thing.

i think this is better than kai though all the animation is redone and the story is told a bit different even if the first half is similar... for example the first episode introduced the "ice alchemist" a character unseen in the first anime..

Bec. this is entirely based on the manga. The first anime took a different route.
