I am pretty well convinced this was a publicity stunt now. VMAs always try to do something shocking every year. This was near the beginning of the show and they set up advertising for Twitter across the whole show. They don't just let performers waltz onto the stage. There is security you know.

Even security probably just didn't know what the hell he was doing there and it's not an immediate threat, soo..

I dunno. Maybe it was just a stunt. Maybe not.
