haha, they put garou:motw together with kof . . . and that kof2002 hack as well

wait, they confused virtua fighter with kof and misplaced them?

It should be "Top 10 Fighting Game Franchises", doesn't it? Looking at that video made me consider buying that used Virtua Fighter 5 disc I ever see when I go shopping to my local flea market... I'll give the game a chance.

Virtua Fighter is supposedly the most technical and worthy 3D fighter, so I can see why they'd put it there. I just lost track of the series after the Saturn days (and people to play with) and the ammount of technicality it developped now bores me.

I always hated the physics in that game. How can i explain the sensation? It feels like the characters are surrounded by an invisible bouncy cotton shield when they hit each other.

Could not possibly agree with you more! I reeeeally got into Virtua Fighter on the Saturn (Virtua Fighter Remix, Fighters Megamix; you name it I played the crap out of it). Recent Virtua Fighters however just don't interest me for the same reasons. It needs new interesting features... or anything new other than more extreme button combinations to keep me going. I also agree that its physics engine needs a SERIOUS upgrade.

As subjective as this top-10 may be (and it absolutely is), I concur with nearly all of it.

Gotta admit I'm glad DoA was excluded from the top 10, though I expected it to be on the list in some fashion given how used to I am of seeing it come up in fighting game discussions.

truly is. i have it and love it, though. thing with it is you gotta learn the character quiet a bit before you can truly get used to them

for instance, Wolf is the most accesible, hes the grappler, does the most damage, but has some serious command and control demands. hes easy to use 1 to 2 attacks, but ya gotta learn the hard shit to wipe the floor with him

def not the most accessible, but is indeed a great game
