Just got off the phone with Activision PR. They have a full statement about Zombies below, but a main point they want to emphasize is that Zombies does not require GameStop’s $50 season pass DLC, even if that’s what the announcement seemed to be implying. That’s what I figured was the case, and the Zombies mode will indeed be sold separately as standalone, unpackaged DLC some time next year, and it was nothing cut from the core game. They also stressed that this is Sledgehammer’s take on Zombies, and fans probably shouldn’t expect a clone of exactly the same style of play a-la-Treyarch
