KoF's "b-day game" was 98UM and 02UM on Steam, though the latter's not coming out until next year.

Must wait till tomorrow to get 98UM because some dumb shit happened with my cards, aye.

Forget that Port for now, Its broken far as everyone is reviewing, and the net code sucks more than Vanilla SFIV

Not if you apply for the public beta.

The netplay I had with Chubunater and KoopaKoot while in the beta was pretty good. Better than what I could say for KOF XIII.

Expected that reaction, getting it anyway though. Besides, I can find other uses for the game.

if my cards weren't blocked atm i would buy too, its still a good game, but the netcode kills it

Nah, that sounds more like XII than XIII. lol

I never had terrible experiences with XIII on Steam except for that one time I was playing machinaweapon, but that's it.
With the beta, netcode feels about as good as 96 on PSN does, which is pretty on par with SF4.

Plus, you can manually adjust maximum input delay.

I can play USFIV with koopakoot and homer, anything worse than USFIV's netcode is garbage... which means KOF XIII can go to hell, freaking underwater netcode. Of course it's going to run fine if you and your friend have super internet (That excludes mach lol) to compensate for its terrible netcode.

That's not necessarily true :P A friend (Kane Blueriver, nonetheless) lived in Japan all year long, and he told me that even with their crazy ultra fast internet connection he eventually had problems playing USF4 and UMVC3.

... I'm confused. He showed the trailer a few days ago, I understood that he was actually working on it. Isn't the cancellation from back in 2008, and he's restarted the project anyway some time ago ? (though Mistwalker also has that other project, Terra battle, which Destructoid keeps bumping in the second entry permanently as "advertisement", so I'm not sure)
