Is it different enough to CP to warrant a purchase on its own? I mean, you know like with KOF games where people can play older games because they have different gameplay and you're not missing out by not playing the latest entry.

Chrono Phantasma has Overdrive, Crush Trigger (plus all bars now are divided in 4 parts, not just Jin), Overdrive Guard Cancel (in the CP2 version) and no more Gold Break Burst and Guard Primers. Can't remember if there's more. So yeah, it's quite different to CS:Extended in terms of gameplay.
Continuum Shift Extend - Release date 12/11https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuB_0wnNksoWould've been nice to get some kind of heads up.
Dark Souls finally got rid of GFWL. Go here for more information: http://steamcommunity.com/games/211420/announcements/detail/206368522048405952Pretty easy, just right click on your game in the Steam Library, go into Properties, check that the BETA tab is set to dsptde-2.0- and you're good to go.
So Steam has been doing some kind of event in which you can trade your cards and other things for gems that you can use in an auction to get games for free. Obviously some people don't get the "for free" part and start buying the gems. Good luck beating guys who spend 20000 gems to get one game.
Who cares, the auction event is about to end in 10 minutes, then all you'll be able to do with the gems for now is just create booster packs for trading cards.THE WINTER SALE STARTS TODAY THOUGH, so you'll be able to get the very same game for 5 dollars instead of 20 (Because 1000 gems = 1.10 dollars so far).
WINTER SALES HAS STARTED. Unfortunately there's so many people visiting it right now that the Steam Store tends to crash. You can also vote for games to get good discoumpts. Ffs, I hope Spiderman 2 doesn't win in the current vote. Btw, each vote round is every 24 hours. I'm surprised, since IIRC it was for smaller amounts of time, like 4-6 hours I believe.

They gave me Victim of Xen but they don't tell you what game you received in the email until you put the code in steam which is a bummer.
