I had actually thought something more along the line of the Alvin and the Chipmunks and the Smurf movies, but
really only because they're the only major live-active/CGI hybrids I can think of right now. Which is not really a fair comparison!

The games look pretty good to me, and the dialogue actually got some chuckles from me.
Absolute dorks, I love it.

these are just generic orchestral farts, its such a step down from the great music sega has done from this franchise all the way up till now. it honestly ruins the entire experience, bleh

You're joking, but you're totally right. This is less of a Sonic game and more a generic licensed game based on a property that happens to feature Sonic characters. They probably built this engine so they could crank these things out for as long as the show remains popular. Which it will, regardless of quality.
