  • I bite the faces of people who don't wanna be cool
- The Samurai Shodown 3 mode doesn't feel like Samurai Shodown 3 all that well.
- He can still crouch during a run! Don't you just love how Ali knows that Samurai Shodown characters stop running and go into their brake state when they get to close to the opponent but apparently doesn't know that trying to crouch during a run will cause the character to enter their brake state before they can return to a controllable state and then crouch?
- His knockdowns don't cause envshakes. Come to think of that, I think Noe and ROQUE are the only ones who actually did that with their Samurai Shodown conversions...
- The alignment of the DP landing state still looks off.
- Blood sparks are still done wrong.
- Bad palette indexing allows for silly things like the menu and pow bar sprites sharing colors with Genjuro's outline.

All of it may not sound like much, but all these dumb errors really take away from the Samurai Shodown feeling. I know Ali doesn't use exact data from the games, but he could at least do everything else right and make it look and feel good enough.


Like with Ali's other characters, it's all the subtle mechanic errors and cosmetic errors that ruin it for me.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

Why would you want anything to feel like SS3 at all though.

Well, im also fan of Samurai Shodown and SS3 style will be a strong point to add (In SS4 some char loose the charm (Gaira Kafuin).

Ali is the one that wanted to give him a SS3 mode. He could've at least done it right. :P

I hope in the next update the SS5SP zetsumei.
The update didn't ruin this character. It just carried over the flaws from its original release.
And he's not gonna have a Zetsumei Ougi. This Genjuro is SS3 and 4 based.

Well, honestly we don't know this fact. In the first released, he apparently was based in the SS4 and now appears the SS3 style.
Maybe you don't felling the SS3 mode because of Ali chars lack of SS3 Sparks (even lack of SS4 spark) :P.
