They're so old by now that I think they'll be busting themselves! *drum riff*

Meh, the original cast wasn't really the winning formula there, so they're clinging to the wrong things.

  • Somebody PM when Caddie is no longer a mod.
I disagree. If it doesn't have Ray, Egon, and of course the one the only Bill Murry. The move would suck hard. That movie is all about the Saturday Night Live cast of old and nothing else.

If Bulshi wasn't dead he would have been in it. Weaver it's a nice touch.

Egon (Harold Ramis) graduated from both my Elementary and High Schools..haha. He stood a few feet away from me while he was speaking to my class once.

Random note, but it was a grand moment.

Anywho, I'm really glad they are actually doing this. I was a bit disappointed when it was said that the upcoming video game would make up for the lack of a 3rd movie. Thank God they're actually making a damn film.

But yeah, I agree that they're pretty old now..but who cares? Haha. I'm sure nobody is going to go into the movie thinking OMG DEY HAVE WRINKLES DIS MOVIE SUCKS. As long as their movie characters have aged as well, it'll make sense.

Much like the episode of Extreme Ghostbusters when the Real Ghostbusters returned for one last time. They were all old and barely fit into their costumes, but it was still awesome!

[glow=black,2,300]All the old cast are not nessessarily old looking, (except for janine), but id say theyve gained alot of weight physically. Ive seen this on G4. Sounds like Aykroyd is trying to do what he and Ramis did with the making of the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon. Aykroyd says he immediately considers Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku for some roles. More than likely i hope he still will include Eduardo, Roland, Garrett, and Kylie (hopefully). Judging from the Ghostbusters video game though (with exactly the same plot as far as 'recruits') maybe it would be totally new ppl. Carlton Banks should play Roland hands down. The dark chick from 'The Craft' should play Kylie. Maybe the dude that played Carlos on RE movies should take the role of Eduardo (meh... shrugs)[/glow]

Haha hey thats true. Alfonso Ribiero (Carlton) DID in fact do a voice of one of the Extreme Ghostbusters! Although if they don't go the route of that particular show while still keeping the concept of "Young" new Ghostbusters, I'd say that it would be awesome to perhaps see some modern comedians and/or actors such as Dane Cook, Mike Epps, or even George Lopez take on the roles of the new blood.

Although realistically I could see them getting someone like Seth Rogen or John C. Reilly, seeing as how Harold Ramis has worked with Judd Apatow and those particular actors in the past.

They could do a movie purely about young Ghostbusters whenever they want. The old cast won't be around forever though.

Also again...Dan Aykroyd claims that Bill Murray will have the "comic role of a life time" with the new GB 3 script.
Dan Aykroyd said:
I'm working on the script now and those two-Stupnitsky and Eisenberg, [writer-producers of The Office]-wrote Bill the comic role of a lifetime, and the new Ghostbusters and the old are all well represented in it...we have a strong first draft that Harold [Ramis] and I will take back, and I'm very excited about working on it."
