God Goku Z2 Edit

Pokemon Master in Training

Okay so this is a very very very very simple palette change, along with one animation change. I plan on making more but i felt like posting this here so that i could get advice on different things that would make the edit look better. Eventually i would like to add in original moves and animations to make him his own special character but just as fun to play as Z2 and SSJ Goku Z2. Very long road ahead.

All credit goes to Balthazar and Cybaster. I just changed some colors.

But if it's just a palette edit, then wouldn't it be more reasonable to release just the palette?

Well i made him a seperate character folder and renamed the files so i can have both OG Goku Z2 and God Goku in my Mugen. there is also one tiny animation change that makes it so when he is charging up it has Fire effects instead of the usual Aura effect. However the fire is shitty looking as of right now and is only a place holder. I am going to add more changes in the future.

it was better if you create new animation doing the transformation on God Goku in the middle of the fight. That would be an edit.

So, if it's an "edit", why did you post this in Sprite Project? It doesn't make sense.
In the preview I can see the palette change on his hair is bad, why does he have that yellow-ish/brown colour, if the rest is red?
And what animation did you change?

Also you need to use the new version of GokuZ2, the stance is updated and so is the gameplay.

u coulda just put the a new def God Goku Z2.def into the original Goku Z2 folder and changed the palette selection/order in the def file lol then
changed the name in the def file aswell "God Goku"

put the entry in the select.def like
Goku Z2/Goku Z2.def
Goku Z2/God Goku Z2.def

and u'd have both on ur roster that way lol since its all the same coding and animations and junk

not only that but it would save alot of space

Didn't know there was an update for Z2. Also I changed his Power up animation. It's shitty flame sprites but they're placeholders until I get new. I put it into sprite projects because I'm going to make new stuff for it. I just wanted to post it here now so I have the thread when I make updates. I made the color change on his hair the same colors that his hair is in Battle of the Gods. Minus some extra values. And also I didn't notice the yellowbrown color until you pointed it out just now. Also I'm just a noob so I'm learning all this stuff as I go.

@TersugaGensho I made it a separate character file because I am going to make it a completely different character. Thanks for the feedback though.

If I were you I would have waited making this topic until I had actual progress with it (like the animations which you have to show here because they're required in this board: some animations that you have done for this and not those that are/were already made by Balthazar) and just released the palette.

I think having a topic here is too soon for the things you want to do.

This is nothing so far, its just a palette, you might as well just have released a pal. There isnt even different moves.

This palette doesn't really look like ssj god goku either it's just red hair. If you're going to recolor atleast make everything slightly different, not just the hair. Here, like this

This isn't even a Z2 God Goku. Hell your palette isn't even that of God Goku's. And no new moves reminiscent of him. Give him new moves before releasing him as a pal. Even if one, cuz this is not an edit. An edit should be more than thar!

Yeah i was trying to figure out a good color change for his clothes too because everything gets kind of a red tint to it when he goes god mode.

When i tried to load SSG goku into mugen it didn't work it said that it doesn't have a sff file and a def but when i checked it did, can you help?

Someone else I know had the same problem. Idk why. It is working fine in my Mugen and I uploaded him exactly as I have him. I'll try to figure out what the hell is going on as soon as I get the chance. Gotta go to work and stuff.
