The only thing weighing this game down for me is the awful driving -- there's no suspension nor any real weight distribution, just wooden turning and handling characteristics. :|

Try not to be so negative, it won't bother you if you don't let it.

Eh, I just try to focus on the driving stat and use the character best suited for it.

Yeah, I've gotten past it already. The game is so jam-packed with everything I get off just by clobbering my guy around with the jumping physics, lol.

Some of the stuff you do in this game is just sick. Still fun as hell but a certain something that happened in the game made me realize how weak a stomach I have.

I have one major gripe and that is the wanted levels. I'm gonna check just to make sure, but back in the older GTA's, even 4, you could at least run down a few guys, fire off a few bullets and never see 1 star. Now, even while walking up the steps to a mission, I gently bump a guy and i got 2 stars, they're shooting me point blank and I can't help but scream "FUCK" because I was damn near dead going into it. Hell, i can't even defend myself in a fist fight without having to deal with a 1 star and it takes like 2 minutes for them to disspear. Rockstar needs to tweak that shit in a patch because it isn't fun and shows that no matter what they add back still won't match the fun and ideas the Saints guys bring to the table in just 4 games.

I'm nearing the end now myself, at 50% completion on my last check, but have been trying to do a little collecting. Nearing 50+ hours now with a rather even number between each played, Trevor having the most by 2 hours.

I actually think the driving feels better, especially on the motorbikes.

There's apparently a cheat you can put in to make the driving identical to GTA IV called Slippery Streets, I haven't tried it myself though

http://www.shacknews.com/article/81231/grand-theft-auto-5-hits-1-billion-sets-new-record

"As one might expect after its launch day figure of $800 million, Grand Theft Auto 5 has hit $1 billion in sales in just its first three days on the market, Take-Two has announced. This breaks yet another record, as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 took 15 days to reach the same mark.

Take-Two also notes that it reached the sales figure faster than feature films, as the record is currently held by The Avengers after 10 days. But to be fair, games tend to cost five or six times the amount as a movie ticket.

"Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment," said Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, in the announcement. "We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto 5.""

haven't bothered to use any cheats yet, do they disable saves and achievements still? if so that sucks, especially since there is a stat for cheats used.

You do know that witnesses actually call the cops right?

Anyone seeing you fight may pull out a cell phone and snitch on you. That's why you fight and then leave the scene fast.

I found one of these types of people and watched her threaten to call the police on me. She took out her cell phone and spoke to the cops. I ran her over as soon as the conversation started and the cops didn't show up.

Oh and hide in alleys, parking garages, or even get on roofs to make the cops go away easily.

Cops are also freaking psychics,  the smallest, most confined alley after chasing me half way across the city, and they pull down it. Also snitches everywhere, even on Groove street filled with ballas. guess I would be scared too if trevor alone stepped onto it.  :eaugh:
