Dude where I'm at we had a line going around the block for GTA 4. I laughed my ass off cuz I was first in line. That game is cool. They updated gameplay increasingly. Driving is a little hard to get used to but it makes it more real. Also you can actually get drunk in it too lol.

Got it this morning. Multiplayer is great, especially Cops N' Crooks. I don't really like how the vehicles handle now though.
Personally I dont like that game all that much. I more into Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. Free roaming with 16 players is like the best. Everyone is causing havoc on one city. It's like heaven in a disc you can upload and play.

That game is so much fun. I love getting drunk and driving around town. I got drunk and I was driving around town in a really quick car (dont remember which) and I almost hit this car then right after that this other car was like right there I rammed right into it then slid onto the sidewalk running this guy over. Then the guy driving the car got out and beat me up. Bein drunk lessens your abilities so I was stumbling and I got wasted by the guy. It was funny but it sucked becuase I was going to do a mission and I was close to where it was at to start it.

Killed some gang member then got a handgun and some dough. For you and another person to go to the movies + popcorn and soda is about $50. Same thing for t.v., me personally I don't have time for the commercials so I end up just playing games all night. I wonder what physics engine this game utilizes because it looks good when a guy gets rammed full speed by a car. XD
This game has gone a long, long way from where it started.Just hope that it doesn't let me down. The same crap gets boring after a while.

The engine is very nice and the R.A.G.E. one Rockstar designed themselves goes along with it.Mutiple games coming out will start to use it, like the new Star Wars game Unleashed.I'm sure their just scratching the service of what this engine could really bring to indepth reality gaming. So far the game has been incredible. I love driveing for once, although it feels the computer has better skills overall after I seen them take corners compared to me with little to no effort and you can tell each car is diffrent weight and driveingwise.Guns and combat system are sweet. Locking on and free aim is a simple pressure and when locked up a simple move the bumper and you'll be getting headshots like a bro although having some downsides and cover not always acting like cover.Fighting now has three diffrent buttons compared to one in GTA3 and two in GTA:SA where one button "triangle" is used for the moves you learned from gyms and the reguler "circle" button used for run of the mill stree fighting(My favorite style being karate and being able to jump kick into peds and police ), So now basicly you have three buttons to fight people with. One(for the PS3 version) is "square" and you basicly knee/kick your opponent. The second "triangle" is a punch or if pressed during times of the third button hand to hand combat attack "circle" you can do some pretty nasty things. Be careful because if you arn't close enough at times you'll completely miss your opponent and get beaten down easily.tl;dr incredble new combo of game engines, interesting fun gameplay, and a sure buy for really anyone for the mutitude of diffrent things to do and see in-game.
I will definitely get it once its released on the PC (previous GTA games were released a few months after the console release)
The game looks great and the story is cool so far. But when I get in a car the game loses all it value. The driving is so realistic that it almost fake. I mean driving is utterly unfun in this game. if you hit a little bump in the road your car ends up flying of the road(worst physics ever) I did a 1080 degree spin on a moped in the air and the E brake is usless in this game. I mean why give a car a E brake if all the cars are just gona fly into a building or other cars every time... ITS SOOO UNFUN lol . other than that its a good game

I remember buying Vice City the day it came out before I actually owned a PS2. My crappy afterschool job was going to fund for both and I figured "hey, better to have the game than the system right now. Vice City will be sold out before any PS2 would."And I was right . Four days later I got my PS2 and enjoyed VC with no disappointments.

The most interesting thing I've seen with the AI so far is a cop handcuffing this overweight punk on the sidewalk. The cop is then saying so many hilarious disrespectful things to the guy (remarks fitting the situation so perfectly) I can barely recall much said The two of them walk about 50 feet to the cop car with two cops already sitting in the front seats. Before getting into the car, the cop slams the poor alleged criminal's body against the car door and tells him to get in. Once inside the car, I decide to mess with the situation and run over to stand infront of the police car to block it. In San Andreas, they would've just stayed there forever waiting for me until I move out of the way. The brutality and realism of what happened next left me shocked. They waited for about 2-3 seconds reacting to me standing infront of their car. Apparently, they NEEDED to put this guy away (note: they seemed aware that there was a massive truck parked behind them). I heard somebody yell at me to move, followed by the cop car's sirens and lights being activated. Just a second after that, as I boldly remained standing a foot infront of this car from getting back to the station, they hit the gas as heard as possible and attemped to run me down! With my lightning-fast reflexes, I jumped straight up and landed on the hood. Again in San Andreas, I'd probably remain standing on the hood until they arrived at their destination. Not with the fantastically realistic physics in this game. I fell down while still on the hood and rolled all the way back on the car until I fell off beyond the trunk. I then heard a cocky laugh come from somewhere, assuming it was one of those 3 cops in the car. I have a few gripes of my own so far (VERY few) but I find the driving aspects have been nearly perfectly applied. It IS realistic, and I find that realism (especially when unique handling with every different car) to be very refreshing and fun as well. I've heard in reviews it's supposedly more difficult to get the hang of driving on PS3, but I'm playing it on PS3 and picked it up immediately. Sure, if you're rushing like hell you may just spin out and/or crash. It's supposed to be a challenge, which may take a lot of practice to master.
Well I was playing today and I just felt like fucking around. Well I was driving so fast I really couldnt see that well and I was drunk so that made it so much worse. I drove right into a barrier, went through the windsheild and fell into the water.

This desperate opportunist literally owes all of his TV airtime throughout his life to Rockstar at this point. Well they are apprantly working on a patch as we speak. Hopefully it'll be out faster due to GTA's being even more crippleing. Due to not even getting past the loading screen at times.

I kinda felt like i was bullshitted when i put this game on seriously. I was expecting so much more but was let down. Rather than all 10 from everywhere this game is more like 8.0. what turns me off is the frameskip and drops. 360 and PS3 is too powerful to still have this problem in games.I know once ninja gainden 2 comes around this shit is on the trading block.Well that just my opinion. Maybe if i can just play through it without getting nautious driving i'll be alright i guess.

Yeah. Well past that part.Best time so far was clearing out the strip club for Dwyane.I first toke out the manager in the office counting money then the other two went out back. Everybody was shooting so I basicly said fuck that and went out the front and jumped in my Truismo.Everything was just about going as any other gun slinging fast speed GTA based chase was going until we got off the bridge and ran into a heavily backed up intersection.Suddenly expolsions starting raining everywhere, gun fire inbetween, and cars flying into the air.It all happened so fast I'm not entirely sure what caused it. In the end after most of the expolsions were done I survived, pulled out the combat shotgun and finished the last manager stuck in the passinger seat of the car.FUCK THIS GAME IS AWESOME
Both versions are having the freezeing trouble.It's either wait for the patch or nothing really.I can't have my PS3 connected to the internet while playing or else it'll freeze during the loading screen or 5-8 minutes tops before freezeing in-game.Unless you get lucky like some have.
mine doesnt freeze instead after 20 min of playing my console basically dies(Orange light on console), this is only happens for GTA 4.
Either a really bad bug or it completely crashes the system with the amount of people playing GTA 4 online all the time

MehWell I now know that in Liberty City there is a internet cafe somewhere you can get on the internet (and its not real life internet but on the game internet).
Best part of it is getting v& by clicking a certain website. I won't spoil it for others, but it's very useful for those playing the 360 mainly and getting certain on-foot achivements.

You can download demos for free no charge like the PSN network.I'm just hoping sooner or later they'll stop making people pay for internet.Wii and PS3 do pretty well without having too pay for it.A month subscription card is 8 dollars and a full year is around 50.00 dollar's.Not that much to be honest, but I also own other consoles with games online I play more frequently and most of those months paying for it would just goto waste. XBL is a great service most of the time. Only real trouble online was Halo 3, but thats about it. Oh well. Once GTA4 and MGS4 are done I'll scrouge up some money to get back on Halo 3.

Sat the ctrl down and helped her get her letter cards in order....and whaddya know: the ped comes back around the corner, throws me out the car and the cops are waiting for me. Beat the game a couple of days ago. This game has one of the worst endings in gaming history. Haven't seen the other ending, but I'm sure that it's just as short and pathetic as the first one. Bad guy dies, Roman says something to Niko, Niko looks at the body and then they walk away and the credits roll. WTF is that shit? Yeah, I want a 15-20 minute Final Fantasy style ending. Besides that garbage, the single player was pretty awesome. I'm having a blast beating up gang members in the projects. He claims this to be the best GTA ever, and he's played them all, so I trust him.I played 1/2 hr. The 1-on-1 fighting mechanics improved greatly. Driving is a bitch, like everyone mentioned. STUNT JUMPS ARE AWESOME. Game looks motherfucking great graphics wise. Lighting effects are astonishing, the way light behaves in closed environments is dead on real, I was blown away - shadow projection, blurring, intensity, omg I came.A must buy.

Well, I noticed after the third chasen misson once all the small talk is done THEN you can kill them or w/e.I'm also pretty good with shooting now. It's actualy fairly easy, but any chance I get I'll wait for a narrow bridge/straightaway during a chase/kill missons and pop his tires, watch the sprarks fly, and then laugh as the car catchs fires and later expoldes.
Taxi i find in this game very useful, I use it all the time. * Cloudius cries every time i take the taxi to my safehouse and the taxi scratches my Banshee

lol @ ONLY calling Roman for his taxi. Just hop into one that's right in front of you. All of the main story missions combined with the side missions? Never getting into a regular taxi would probably add at least 3-4 pointless(waiting for Romans taxi to show up) hours to the total game time.Grenades and rockets always got me out of jams in missions. Wish the capacity was higher for the Rocket launcher though.

played online free roam today. hilarity ensued when everyone began to agree to have one person stand near a ranmp, and have 1 car with 4 playes in it run him over, and then bail out......none were left standing...and my nuts went right into concrete
