Okay, you got me, I failed to see a single phrase at the beginning of the paragraph where it's stated that Nuno punched him in the back of the head. I overlooked the particular phrase "accompanied by several students", since it was the only utterance of there (MAYBE???) being multiple attackers. Prior to posting, I only read the article once, skimming for important details. The second time was after he stated it was only 12 stabs, in which I simply cntrl+f for 18 and found I was wrong. The third time being now which I thoroughly reread it, noticing the one phrase I failed to see. It's a simple mistake, being they only even mentioned there being others accompanying Nuno ONCE, and never brought it up again throughout the rest of the article. I did not read the rest of this topic yes, so if there were other articles, FUCK THEM, I don't care. Put the full story in the first post. This is a news thread, so typically, there's going to be mostly reactions to what happened, and I saved myself the trouble of reading through them, saw the word "bullying" being brought up a few times, and got pissed, so I posted.

Even with my small mistake, Byakko winning this? Yeah right, that's so questionable. Not once is it stated (in this article) that the other accompanying students attacked Jorge, and if they did,

- it's not stated that they were charged with anything
- they most likely would've overpowered a kid with a small pocket knife (size isn't necessarily mentioned, again, in this article)
- what were they doing while big bro was getting shanked?

And for morphman -

Where in the article does it say that 3 people "attacked" jorge?

"Several" normally refers to 3 or more, and that would be along with Nuno, making it 4 and (+). It's said that there were 2 other people than Nuno "taunting" Jorge, in which the word "couple" should've been mentioned when they said Nuno was accompanied, IF they were there to assist in the upcoming thrashing.

So the fact remains that the entire article still implies that this was a one on one fight, and it still goes to show that even with my impaired vision and laziness, I can still come out on top in a verbal battle between MFG's former loudest internet troll and some pathetic prick who simply dislikes me. Now try not to assume shit just because of the wording used, and you can save yourself some embarrassment.

There's more than one bully, and they all wanted to fuck Jorge up. Jorge was like, I don't want any trouble, and I got a knife, I don't think YOU want any trouble either. So he gets off the bus. A bully follows him off (This is where I'm lost, did they all get off or just one.) and blindsides Jorge as he was walking away to wherever. So Jorge stabs him to death in nerd rage. Sadistic? Fuck no.

I already said it earlier in the topic. You're not reading it this way, and that's exactly why I've been telling you that you're not reading between the lines and visualizing the events as they were happening. "Several teens announced the fight". That means "the bullies were a whole group, sitting around the kid with the knife, chanting 'we're going to beat the shit out of you when you get off the bus'". You know, like at school, they walk around the kid and whisper "we're going to jump you outside school when the day ends !" Why do you think the kid resorted to bringing a knife ? He did because that's what happens with bullies like that.
The article is just not saying it, but if you can read between the lines, you just know that's the kind of situation that was going on. That's just what bullies do.

It means that there's going to be a fight. Not once is it stated that "they" are going to do anything. Having been to rowdy schools myself, there's been several hundreds of times I've heard people "announce a fight" only to see one on one's result. Again, save yourself some embarrassment and don't assume what isn't there.

The article is just not saying it, but if you can read between the lines, you just know that's the kind of situation that was going on. That's just what bullies do.

If it doesn't openly state it, I'm not going to assume shit. It's a news article, and it's up to THEM to make sure THEY convey the idea across accurately. The identities of the "announcers" are not made clear as to whether or not they were hostile towards Jorge, therefore you can't assume fuck all of anything from it. This just comes as an attempt to save face after being proven that you were wrong.

This is so fucking stupid. So, when it stated that teens announced the fight in the article, you read that as "We're going to beat you dead", rather than "Holy shit guys, there's going to be a fight when we get off the bus!"? I bet you read "Jorge showed the knife to two teens" as "Jorge showed the knife to two OF the teens (who announced the fight)" too, eh?

So if they were scared of the knife, why wouldn't Nunor be? You don't think they wouldn't have told him about the knife? If he knew about the knife, why would he attack Jorge then? You're getting fucking nowhere by assuming shit, and just don't know it. It's sad, really.

It's a public disturbance that lead to the death of a teen. They were responsible for harassment to an extreme enough to cause someone concern for their life. That is, if they were in fact attempting to in the first place.

You can't prove that they actually said that they were going to beat him up. THAT is just stupid. If we're going to go by what witnesses say (which is almost all they got), then surely enough the others would get charged with SOMETHING, and even THAT would've made it's way into the article. Obviously, Jorge showed the knife to two unrelated teens, that's why Nunor didn't know about the knife, because if the announcers of the fight were with him, and were to assist, then they would do their jobs AS assistants, and tell Nunor about the fucking knife. Because he DIDN'T know about the knife, he went full on in there and got shanked, and the only way he WOULDN'T have known is if no one TOLD him, and no one would've TOLD him if they didn't KNOW about it now WOULD THEY?

Oh, though now that Murdertroyd posted the details, that can now actually be proved since it's in testimony on court records (which confirm my hypothesis : the group of 5 in the back and "multiple friends of [the bully]" walking up to the one in the front and repeatedly telling him "we're going to get you", you can say it, it's exactly what I described). NOW they could possibly be charged. But I'm not sure anyone cares at this point.
