I got used to Ky. His voice fits the character (even if it is just Flynn from ToV), just that he sounds different. I've personally no problem with him anymore but I can see why people wouldn't like his dub voice if they've had history with GG.Spoiler: More here (click to see content)I think easily the worst offenders are Sol, Millia, Ramlethal and even Faust at times.Sol's just a half-assed discount Steve Blum, Millia's VA confused confidence for pride (loses all the constant calm that was attributed to the character), and Ramlethal is straight up "reading the script" bad. I get she's supposed to sound programmed, but this is too much.Faust, though? Not that his voice is bad, he's like the opposite of Millia: not kooky enough. His voice works for the more serious tone he has in Story Mode, but in actual gameplay it just falls flat when you land on that set. Also Venom is like a massive edgelord but it's funny so I let it stay. Not that different from "ZATO-SAMAAAAAAAA" in context. :VI can live with this dub, though. Reminds me of older dubbed anime days, super corny and inappropriate. Almost charming, really.
Bedmans one felt a bit too fast...Not really feeling Millia .Also now that I understand what the hell Slayer says during his IK I am confused as fuck
His IKs have always been randomly generated haikus. They don't usually make sense. In XX he could say something like:QuoteOnce I knew a manStruggling vainly, was stunnedHit by May 6PIf you were lucky. Because that one makes sense. :V
I think Bedman's great. He's just a shitty douche that talks fast and doesn't care if you can't keep up or have a problem with it. Yuri fucking NAILED this one.
Erroratu said, December 06, 2014, 12:09:16 amBedmans one felt a bit too fast...That's the point. He speaks fast monotone.
Slayer's Connery is fantastic.Millia's a bit too haughty, but if it's who I think it is (Tara Platt) she's always been like that.EDIT: Yep, it was Platt.
Ramlethal having a horrible English VA fits her quite well, she now has some horrible voice acting to go along with her shitty design. Also Sol's English VA... Jesus, that was so bad.
Not like anyone is gonna use English audio for GG anyway. If you're not a weeb who has a visceral opposition to English dubs you're playing the wrong series!
One more question: Are there EX versions for the characters unlockable like in the previous Guilty Gear games?
I like Faust's voice, though it can be a bit more insane.Of all of these, Bedman's is the best. Though he looks terrible, at least he has one good thing about him.I can get used to Ramethal's and Millia voices, though they don't really sound like what I'd expected.
I did play like 4 matches of this game yesterday, even on PS3 looks pretty nice, but kinda "blurry" and it's pretty well done what I had the chance to playwaiting for the ps4 version of it!
Yeah I had the chance to play on Friday and I can see how the models look "blurry" on performance mode, but you only really notice that when you pause the game, it's hardly noticeable in-game. The one noticeable thing is the slowdown during the super flash cutscenes, I would love to play the super crisp PS4 version but eh... I'll settle with the PS3 one for now.
I do agree, it only really shows it when you pause the game... don't know if you have been able to see the ps4 version, it's even better, looks just like a cartoon-animeit's curious because I saw the ps4 demo first and then the ps3 game, and I know all the graphics are better than that, but some people there that didn't know about the game were really impressed with the graphics on ps3Also I did notice Chipp air+heavy punch works different, it kinda have a "slow down" thing, and makes him "fly" a little bit, and Faust was strange to use at first but well, I played like 4 or 5 fight at much with dudes that already had the game so I wasn't able to practice just play like the older versions... but that's the cool thing about it, if you already played any older game, you will get used to this one really quick, you just have to work with the few things changed and you are done
Nah, if there's some momentum change or it's floaty I assume it's his top spin move, that would be Slash. Unless he means the flip and that's Heavy Slash but as far as I know that one's mostly the same.
Speaking of Chipp, fuck Trial 30.I never got the hang of doing TKs mid-combo in GG at all, and the fact that you gotta do it off a run string right after wall crumple is ungodly annoying. And you gotta juggle off of that too so you have to TK at the right height to keep it going and you gotta be close enough for alpha blade to even hit.Even Bedman's trials with their weird timings didn't give me as much trouble. D:Damn I love this game.
S.D. said, December 08, 2014, 08:18:52 amThe one noticeable thing is the slowdown during the super flash cutscenes,Also, in the PS4 version whereas the models seem to have a lower framerate on cutscenes (intendedly, of course, to emulate hand drawn animation), the effects run at 60fps. In PS3 everything seems to run at a lower framerates.Take for example Sol's IK. The flames seem to move smoother on PS4.---Anyways, PS3 port looks amazing... and started enjoying Axl and I-No.

I'm really confused about it right now... because if it's in time, I will get the LE, if not, I will not wait and will get the regular but some of my friends already have the game, I guess it's just the japanese one
