No shit sherlock, it's like you don't know how fighting games work. And it won't be a balance patch, it'll be a new game.
i dont know about tiny, but it does look out of place when you look at the models closer. its not an issue of image quality either, it just... doesnt fit. is it the shading? i dont know.
Some of the text is extremely tiny and you can only barely read it during cutscenes or big zoom ins, again, it feels tacked on, like... why is it even there if it doesn't contribute to the design and you can't even see it when the characters are fighting? I'm okay with stuff like Sol and Ky's belts. But the text on... say... Slayer's smoking pipe or the Dandyism logo on Venom's shoulder feel tacked on and it makes stuff feel too busy.

She won't be playable in Xrd as we currently have it.  If the game gets updated sure, but as of right now zero chance.  Believe me I want her back too, she was fun and plus YRC would make her hilarious.

Dude...it's Arc-Sys, I'm honestly WAITING on the fact they will state there's gonna be an update to Xrd that will require you to buy the PS4 version or digitally buy the damn thing for the same amount as the base game...and I will STILL buy it because Dizzy being playable will make my year.

Knew it wasn't just me in respect to the text. Didn't notice too much but damn that's some small and faded text, at least on the belts.

Ideally, they do what they did in XX in introduce a handful of new characters in the next update, along with a couple console extras (making for at least 6). Upgrade options like in USF4 would be nice too but heavily doubt that will happen for obvious reasons.

I'm personally waiting on Justice though. To think some months ago I wasn't quite as apathetic about Dizzy being included, but things change I guess (those unblockable setups look stupid and I'm grieve that I'm missing out).

Have you seen Sin's fucking eyepatch it has text lol.  Completely pointless.  Ishi found a new fetish to go along with gratuitous belts and man-midriff.

Yeah, I know it's been like this since forever (Sol's FREE belt, etc.) but it kinda irks me in this game, especially when they're so tiny and they're in a completely random place they feel super tacked on/forced on some designs. But that's just me rambling about stuff.

new characters? uuuh i guess going by story mode its either baiken or anji from the colony, plus a new character from the evil church

I agree with doing something about YRC, it's not a terrible idea but the YRC OS is too damn much lol.  I also don't really dig things like YRC fafnir command grab but at least the game slows down so that's kind of a heads up.  Danger time can go too TBH.  I feel like since Xrd is the first game of the new style it's a obvious testing ground and now they know what they need to do with it, since it's been playable for almost a full year.

I beg to differ , its the same game , example would be super SF4 and SSF4AE , lets not forget all the games that came under the SF II title

What. Sin has text on his eyepatch? I've barely used Sin but yeah, that's exactly what I mean. It wasn't this bad before Xrd and now it's all over the place.

I think I read something in Elphelt's underwear...

Talking about Elphelt, I finally got to play against a decent player using her. God, she's so annoying. I'm totally clueless against her grenades... they hit when they come out, they stay for a long time and they don't disappear when Elphelt is hit.

I had some situations where I catched her in a combo and the grenade exploded, or I connected a throw and the effin grenade hit me while in the throw recovery animation. Oh well, time to understand the character and see what can I do. What I noticed is she's helpless against rushdown characters unless she has tensión because her only reversal is the Wedding Cake overdrive.

I'm struggling against her as well.  Just try and keep her pinned down if you can.  Remember that nades do hitstun before the explosion when she throws em.  Her reversal super is pretty awful too.

It reads "Be a Light Yourself" (Not sure about the "Light" part I was squinting my eyes and I was reading "Eagle" too)

Wait Elphelt's underwear? When it is even visible? BRB CHECKING.

If she has her grenade out just poke her and she'll receive damage, the explosion won't damage you, the only way for that to happen is if the timer goes down to 0 and you're nearNope, I just tested it (Or she throws it at the last moment), you should be slightly more worried about her bridal express frametraps.
Yeah, she gets rushed down hard, her only reversal is pretty bad, a good Elph would be using meter for RC shotgun loops or her unblockable loop anyways.

I was going to put more time on her but I'm maining Leo now, I still sub her, she's fun.

Edit:
Another nice hint against her, if she pulls out a grenade, the timer still keeps going down during superpause cutscenes so if she's holding the grenade and you do an overdrive, chances are that the grenade will explode and she'll also get hit by the overdrive, that's how I lost to a May doing her whale super.

Yeah. her underwear has text ON THE INSIDE part.

I'll put in practice the timer tip, anyways, I should be able to keep her pinned with Axl normals. I made her explode several times because I hit her while she was arming a grenade.

Right now I'm playing Axl as main, followed by I-No (she's so much fun; I found some silly resets using Sterilization Method in the corner) and Ky. Also trying Bedman just because my friends hate the character design.

Nothing else I can add that hasn't been mentioned except that the UB loops are escapable though it's not any grand revelation. Still a way to expose people who use it as a crutch once it can be dealt with; shotgun loops would be the bigger concern.

Yes and no.  There's a bit of Testament in here but only in very abstract ways.  She's really her own character, she has some Testament (traps, loops) some Zato/Millia (unblockables/setplay) but she's pretty unique.

Really I don't feel like any of the new characters can be compared to anyone else from the old GG games, they're all very very new in different ways.

@ZantetsuMug: I was joking about Elphelt's undies if it is not clear at this point :P

I'm trying to unlock all the crap and goodies I already did on my JP copy of the game :( some missions are really annoying, like #15. I feel like the timing and distance is REALLY strict.
