So, the previously undecided Final Fight character is now decided: Haggar! I opened up a thread taking sprite commissions and thanks to Buckus' suggestion, I've now collected almost $200 in donations towards making new sprites for Haggar. The sprites will be usable with Buckus' Haggar, but I will also be using them for Capcom vs The World. My version will play closer to his MVC counterpart but not exactly like him (gameplay differences and all that). Since CvTW doesn't use ground bounces and doesn't have a huge aerial game, his moves and what not obviously need tweaked a bit. Here's the planned movelist right now:

UNIQUE TACTIC:

Spinning Lariat - S Button
   -Has a ton of invincibility and priority, but will drain a little of his life.

COMMAND NORMALS:

Lead Pipe - F+HP
    -Haggar attacks with a long iron pipe. Has overhead properties.

Aerial Lead Pipe - D+HP in air
    -An air version of Iron Pipe. Stuns long enough to follow up with ground combos.

Running Lariat - LP+HP during run
    -Just something for Haggar to do during run. Does decent damage.

Advancing Roll - Hold F or B during recovery portion of crouching HK
    -Use this to reposition Haggar to your advantage after HK. The roll portion of the move is completely invincible.

SPECIAL MOVES:

Piledriver - F,DF,D,DB,B,P
    -Classic Piledriver grab. LP version has slow start-up and does less damage, but has much greater range. HP version has almost no start-up, does a lot of damage, but has less range.

Violent Axe - D,DF,F,P
    -Haggar attacks with an upward swinging axe-handle strike. LP version pops the opponent up for juggles. HP version does more damage but knocks the opponent down hard during the last hit.

Skyhigh Backdrop- F,D,DF,K
    -Slow start-up for an anti-air, but it's unblockable. Best used after launches. After Haggar slams the opponent down, hold F to make him jump forward instead of backwards away from his opponent. Use this to avoid trapping Haggar in the corner.

Hoodlum Launcher - F,D,DF,P
    -Will look the same as the MVC3 move, but will be a set-up for juggles or a well-timed Skyhigh Backdrop. LP version is faster and has the properties of a normal hit, so it can be comboed into and blocked. HP version has a lot of start-up, but travels far and has the properties of a throw, so it is unblockable but can't be comboed into.

L1 SUPER MOVES:

Rapid Fire Fist - D,DF,F,S
    -Basically the same as in MVC3. A ton of gut-punches followed up by two axe-handle attacks. Mash P button before the end of the 3rd hit to add extra punches. Buttons mashed AFTER the 4rd hit will not add hits.

Flying Haggar Press - F,D,DF,S
    -Same as in MVC3. He jumps high in the air, and shoots downwards with a meteoric body press. Hit's knocked down opponents.

Hyper Lariat - LP+HP+S Button
    -Vaccuums the opponent in like some incarnations of Ryu's Shinkuu Tatsumaki.

L3 SUPER MOVE:

Final Haggar Buster - F,DF,D,DB,B,S
    -Extremely damaging grab. Range is in the middle between an LP and HP Piledriver.

Anyway, he may need one more special move, not sure. Let me know what you guys think.

A Haggar that's finally based on FF1, but not a crappy Hulk edit, awesome.

DB,D,DF,F,UF+P Summersault splash.
He leaps up into a front flip then "splashes" May be redundant if the pipe is an overhead. It could work like the Bison stomp.

Might not be his style, or neccessary though.

Love to see Haggar based on Mahvels' iteration, so best of luck! :beamgoi:

For curiosity, how faithful would be his Violent Axe? It's quite paramount for ground grab/level 3 set-ups (since with strict hitstun this made opponents stand immediately afterwards). Oh, and one couldn't forget that loooong roll after doing Cr.HK, provided you're including this.
Sometimes you just need a little less gun.
