Having a few issues here, Help please?

Ive got a problem.
i just downloaded MUGEN  and trying to  create a game.Im using characters from MARVELvsDS(different parts)
But it does not go  through sending messages like these-->
Error message:String value for displayname must be in quotes(which does not help)
Error reading cable.def(???i cant just delete that chaeacter)
Error finding characters/stages.def
Im very confused because i did everything that was in instructions but it worked only with some of the characters....for some reason i cant put more than 9 fighters on display...hows that posssible to change???
If anyone will help me ill b very thankful

Make sure the character's DEF file similiar to this. Quotes and everything:
[mcode][Info]
name ="Yoshi3"
displayname ="Yoshi"
versiondate =05,30,2007
mugenversion =06,14,2003
author ="Mike"
pal.defaults =4,2,1,3[/mcode]

o.O? You add characters into your select.def with just the name of the DEF file inside the folder. Also, the name of the folder, the DEF inside the folder of the character, and the name in the select.def must match in order for the name to come up.

Either you didn't add the characters properly or you don't have enough room for more characters. I suggest either editting the MUGEN by means of the system.def or getting another screenpack with more slots for characters. Or simply check for errors.

Although most "full games" are premade to only work within the game and nowhere else, well...good luck with that

Ermmm i fixed some mistakes  but  still  having trouble with finding screenpack..Ive searched all over internet  and all  links are  dead...Anyone knows  were  i  can  find working link to it?
