Well, i'll post my sprites here, only the newer ones. Hope you like, AND hope you give me a feedback, don't just watch the topic. This one i've made today, i'll upgrade it soon, with an armor and a sword, maybe.
A little update: Posted: March 07, 2013, 08:04:26 amWhat if Pikachu had a little workout? Posted: March 08, 2013, 11:35:14 pmNew Edit:Enjoy.
Sorry Mods and admins and all people, but, since wednesday i've posted 2 sprites, but when the new post merge with the previous one, the topic dont shows like there's a new message on it. What do i have to do in this case? Thanks and sorry for double-posting.
there is a little box under your post, it says "when possible merge this post with your last one" just disable it when posting and your post will pop up normally.
It's Muscle, created by me. I've started making characters by scratch, so this is the first one.(Just one observation, i'm brazilian, so my english sucks, sorry)
Ah, so it's original.I think he stays better with the boots (in my opinion boots are better if you want to make him a fast-like char; long pants can be bothersome too).
G.o.D, do you like it now?Sprite made from scratch, still unfinished (nah, really?), inspired on F. James Fernandez's Mel and Broli. I didn't have copied a thing, just made the sprite look similar to FJF's.
Yes, I like it. I like the style of it, it looks cleaner (that's why I want to sprite Hi Res sprites now). It's also easier to add details in that style.
Why the hell do i still post things here, if everybody read the topic but nobody comments?Anyway, thats my last try:

QuoteLooks good ATM. I say that you should just smooth out the line of his soles a bit.Quote^ I agree, those lines look a little jagged. That Tao looks very nice Fixed:One more:
LunchPolice aka Quack said, June 04, 2013, 07:35:37 amWow, looks great. Would be nice to see it animated smoothlySure. I'm working on the full sheet right now
I'm serious. But you could have just said he doesn't have one for the style because you wanted him to be like that. The face seems to be shaded differently from his arms. His ear has a new set of skin colours, I find it weird since it's supposed to be coloured like the skin. Unless you have an excuse to that too.His right forearm and hand (our left) is not shaded/hit by light.By the way, who is he?
It's Rambo, in a comic style. About the ear, i've seen it just befor posted, but was lazy to upload the new pic.
The_Heartbreaker said, December 24, 2014, 02:10:47 amAre you serious? Haven't you noticed that the sprite has a "comic" style? The "style" of the sprite is of least concern. The face feels pillow shaded, and the shading is pretty much inconsistent in general. It's like you tried to make SF3 for the arms, and CvS for the clothes. It's kind of a mess
I don't "tried" to do a certain kind of shading, i just tried to shade it like the light comes from front/above.
he mentioned that because a light source and shading style are two different things. And your sprite's shading style is inconsistent. That's why he said he "thinks" keyword being thinks, as in his opinion. I'd have to agree with him on the too. Not on the shading structure you were going for, but the inconsistencies in following it.

I would have continued with the other style of shading if I were you and expanded it more. For the arm and hand, look at the last one in the first row, that's how I would've done those. Then I continued editing, but that's just for me. I haven't finished editing yet.I gave him a neck for personal preference and edited the legs, but in the last edits.
Really good work. As i said, i don't know how to do it anymore :pI'll keep spriting, but i'll have to train a little harder
