HELP!

It seems like sound does not play when I try to input the line on a character. Searched for some solutions, but all almost give the same ways and don't work. I tried putting the music=sound/example.mp3 line everywhere, checked it everytime, but nothing. Putting a character and assigning stages for them works fine, but sounds, nope.

Another question : How do I change the resolution? I tried changing the Width and Height under Video in mugen.cfg, and I think it worked on fullscreen. Just being sure. I'm using Mugen 1.1b1.

Oh, are the black borders above and under(like widescreen) on the default Training Room stage intended? Because I noticed that other stages don't have
them.

Also, is it possible to turn the main menu into fullscreen? Has black borders above and under as well, like widescreen too.

bump, another question - When I try to change the portrait using these steps, the colors seem to be screwed up. What should I do?

As for the portrait colors, make sure that color index 0 is the transparent BG color, and that the portrait is NOT sharing with the rest of your character sprites in the SFF.

For your music questions, check to make sure that the character also has a stage assigned to them.
Character assigned Music does not work without a stage assigned to the character.
If that's not the issue please post a line from your select.def that has a char with music assigned to them, but isn't working.

To answer both of your blackbar questions
Go into your Mugen.cfg:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

I spent several damn hours unable to post this because my internet wasn't working. D:

Thanks for the information, but is there any shortcut or easy way to do that? I know nothing about sprites, just searched how to change portraits because some characters have bad or no pictures.

My thanks goes to you for spending your time just to answer my question! :D I remembered seeing that music won't work without assigning a stage to a character, so after I saw yours, I tried to do it again. Opened up the .def file, set some char orders and arcade matches so I face that char first (now with an assigned stage and sound) and yeah it played.

About those widescreen borders, the values were already set to 1 when I opened the .cfg file. Well, I used a different motif (brokenMUGEN) so the widescreen in the main menu is eliminated but the borders are still present on the default Training Room stage. Maybe it was made that way?

Oh, I noticed a color bug in brokenMUGEN when you use the 1.1b1 MUGEN version so I reverted back to the stable 1.0 version. Again, thanks for your time.

Wait, I got into MUGEN 1.0, installed in brokenMUGEN motif and I noticed that there were black borders at the top and bottom of the screen where images get stuck like clipping. Is there a solution for that? It's in 1280x1024 resolution and you can see it when you turn full screen.

edit : I finally got the borders off, just by changing some resolution settings. Now all I need is how to set up the correct portrait.
