Do you mean the select screen 9where you select the chars) or the versus screen (with two portraits and the VS text) ?

You cannot change the size of the portraits through mugen in the VS screen, though you can in the select one, in the system.def. You only need notepad, no mugen tool, to fix that

Now, if you're talking about just modifying the size of the portrait of only one character you'll have to edit it. So you'll need fighter factory or MCM to extract the image, and a graphic program such as photoshop, the gimp or paintshop pro to resize the image before reinserting it back in the SFF.

  • I'm watching you.
nope,you can also change the scale at the vs screen as well
*at your system.def*
for the character select screen go to
;Character select definition
and look for
p1.face.scale = ?,?
p2.face.scale = ?,?
and change it to whatever you want

and as for the vs screen look for
[VS Screen]
and youll also find
p1.scale = ?,?
p2.scale = ?,?

:omg: Yeah, it's rather that you cannot choose another image than 9000,1 for the VS screen. >_<
So, disregard a part of what I said in my previous post.

Thank you guys very much. I was talking about the portraits in the vs screen (the same what that appears when you highlight a character). I have photoshop sooo now all I need is fighter factory or MCM (what is MCM?).

Thanks for the help.

Sorry to keep asking but I downloaded Fighter Factory. Now I am not sure what to do. I already have photoshop so what do I do to extract the image. I can then try and figure the rest out by myself

To extract the image of the current 9000,1 of the character?

Go to the portrait of 9000,1 in the Sprites section when the character it opened up in Fighter Factory. On the left there should be a picture of a blue floppy disk with the word [glow=red,2,300]SAVE[/glow]
It'll save the portrait out of the SFF as a seperate PCX (Which can open in Photoshop)
