Help! Mvc ScreenPack!

Can someone please help me on  a MVC screenpack? I have done everything the tutorials tell me to and either nothing happens to Mugen (It plays as if nothing was inserted) or it says :Error Message: Cant open config file data/mugen.cfg.
Error reading data/mugen.cfg

I know yes I am a newb at Mugen but if someone could just please help that would be great.

try to open mugen.cfg and looking for
motif = data/system.def
change to
motif = data/(your motif).def

ok tell me, what's the name of the folder and where did you put it?

ok tell me, what's the name of the folder and where did you put it?

I put font into font and sound into sound. Then with the rest of the stuff, I put it all into data. That never changes anything with my mugen game. I was told in another tutorial to put it into my mugen1 folder, but I get that error message.

What folder did you put your screenpack?

Is in another folder in the data folder or is it just the data folder?

And can we see your mugen.cfg?

I got it to work! Thanks guys! Just a lousy thing on my part. But can someone tell me why the sound lags behind whats going on screen?

Sound lag as in the actual Mugen game? Or is it the intro for the screenpack that lags? Be more specific plox

If the MvC Screenpack is Doorhenge's, then you should run it with no problem.

One question: What Mugen Version you're using?

The answer will GREATLY help the Guild on your problem.

The intro is lagging and also the beggining home screen only shows the top half. And sorry guys Ill try to more specific! And Mugen 1.0 RC7.

look in system.def maybe you forgot something there

Now I dont even hear the intro music. But everything else works fine. Also It was the edited version my Protoman X. I switched back to the one by Doorhenge but no intro music played.
