when i download music and put it in the sound folder do i have to assign it to a certain stage ?

then does it choose the mp3's randomly? becuase im not hearing it

You have to add the music to a char in your select.def, the command is:

CHARNAME, music=sound/MUSICNAME.mp3/mid

If you want a stage to play a certain music, edit the stage's .def file and look for the music state, like this one:

[Music]
bgmusic  = sound/MUSICNAME.mp3/mid
bgvolume = 255
